Our campground has been family owned and operated by the Gurevich family since 1921. What started out as a farm soon became a mobile home village for GIs during WWII, then, as the interstate highway system grew in the 1950s, leisure travel began and tourists needed a place to stay while visiting Washington, DC. Cherry Hill Campcity was born and we became a business that catered to travelers and tourists for the first time. In the 1980s, a vision for a new kind of campground was formed: a top-tier destination park that offered premium amenities and extensive services. We built Cherry Hill Park from scratch, moving one mile down the road from our original location. In 2015, we completed another major renovation, adding a splash park, log cabins, mini golf, a new bathhouse, gym, outdoor pavilion, and new laundry facilities. In 2017, we were fortunate to win our third Campground of the Year award from ARVC (also 2007 & 2002). Through all the changes, we've stayed rooted in the same values we held as a family of farmers. We focus each day on providing our guests with the best hospitality and tourism that Washington, DC has to offer.

Get the glamping experience in a log cabin, with access to resort-style amenities and camping that doesn’t skimp on comfort - all right outside of Washington, DC. All year-round. Each log cabin is equipped with a bathroom, shower, kitchen with full-sized appliances, heat/ac, cable TV, WiFi, bed linens, towels and a living room with a dining table. Outside is a covered porch with Adirondack gliders, fire ring with a swing-over grilling grate, and a picnic table. Campground amenities include available 2 outdoor swimming pools*, hot tub, sauna, splash park* for little ones, 18-hole mini golf, playgrounds, outdoor movies*, tractor rides*, hiking trail, basketball court, gym, fishing pond (catch and release) and access to laundry facilities, cafe, game room, camp store, golf cart rentals, and public transportation from our bus depot. *Available in-season only from May to September

Washington, DC's world famous monuments, memorials, and Smithsonian museums are located just 13 miles away from our campground at the National Mall. Our prime camping location makes getting to Washington, DC as easy as 1, 2, 3. Public transportation is available all year-round directly from Cherry Hill Park. Metro buses depart out of our bus depot to College Park Metrorail station, where riders can take the train into Washington, DC. We are also 28 miles from the National Aquarium in Baltimore's Inner Harbor, 22 miles from MGM Casino/National Harbor and 35 miles from George Washington's Mount Vernon, which are accessible via car.
