Situated on an 8.5 acre fruit farm along the Hamakua Coast, Royal Palm cottage will provide you the authentic feel of Hawaii country living. As you enter the estate you will marvel at the breathtaking views of mature royal palms, Black bamboo, ocean views and many other tropical Hawaiian flowers. Akaka Falls state park is 6 miles from us. Closest beach is 1.2 miles from here, A dog boarding kennel shares a portion of the property. Barking might be heard 8-9 am depending on the season. Perhaps an occasional puppy whimper if you are lucky. It is best if guests LOVE and understand dogs. It makes us feel safe.

We are born and raised in Hawaii. Kalani and I love to travel the world and meet new people and experience new cultures. We want to share our bit of paradise with our guests. Hawaii is where we call home. Dogs share the property and can be heard intermittently. We are super hosts and are committed to providing a great stay for guests. Smoking permitted in the garden only.

The area is nestled among mature wind break trees. There is a nice nature walk between the Royal palms to an ocean view at lower corner or property. There is no light pollution. Only stars twinkling above on a clear night. Nights with a full moon may bring the wild pigs out to roam. The dogs can't help it and tend to bark at them during this time. There are coqui frogs that can be heard on the Big island. The cottage is insulated for sound reduction and ear plugs are provided for sensitive sleepers. Turning on the Air conditioner or Fan will help to drown out the songs of the coqui frogs.
