Scott and I moved to Brookings, Oregon about 5 years ago after a long search for a Bed and Breakfast to operate. We drove down the Oregon Coast after making an offer on a BnB in Gig Harbor, WA, and fell in love with Brookings. We have now transitioned from running a BnB to offering Vacation stays instead. The Pilot House is our first suite/studio with Kitchenette that we have opened. In the near future, we will be offering an Ocean View suite and an upstairs suite that could be attached or detached from the Pilot House suite. We were just married in December 2018 in our backyard with the ocean view. Between us, we have seven adult children, 3 grandbabies, and two puppies who rule the roost.

Welcome to Tanbark Shores Guest House. Our property sits 60 ft above Chetco Cove on the tip of Tanbark Point. We have a spectacular view that we love to share with others. We DO NOT have access to the beach below us but are within walking distance of two wonderful beaches. We have planted about 44 grapevines and are hoping to brew our own wines. We have a park-like setting with 3 gated areas each one unique from the other. T Gated as we are it provides nice separation from our dogs and those that are visiting. We do allow Dogs only under 75lbs and a maximum of (2) per stay. A fee per night is invoice upon arrival. Please disclose at the time of booking if you have pets. We have ample parking, bikes to lend, beach toys, razor scooters for the young ones, a mini bocce ball court, and all the peace and quiet you desire. The King size bed is two XL Twins belted together, which can be separated into Twins upon request.

Our home is in a great location for visiting Brookings, Oregon. We are within walking distance of the downtown core. Superfly Martini Bar and Grill is 1/4 mile away, Oxenfre Public House, The Black Trumpet Bistro, Compass Rose Cafe, and Misty Mountain Brewing's new location as is the Redwood Theater are all 1/2 mile away. Antique stores, First Rise Bakery, and all the rest of the core Brookings area are 1/2 mile. Chetco Brewing's New Brewpub is 3/4 of a mile. We are 2 miles from Harris Beach State Park, 1/2 from Chetco Point Park, and Mill Beach. The Fat Irish Pub and The Port of Brookings/Harbor and all the shops and restaurants are 1 mile away. The harbor area offers fishing trips, boat launches, fresh seafood, and much more. We are 3 1/2 miles from Salmon Run Golf Course and about 30 miles from The Redwood National Forest.
