Andre' and I have worked in the medical profession for 30 plus years. We started our vacation rental business about 4 years ago. We love the remote but beautiful Hawaiian community that we live in and can't think of a nicer place to live.

This is 1 of 3 cottages on the property, which is located in a quiet coastal community named Kehena Beach. It is across the street from Kehena Black Sand Beach, which is down a trail and easily navigated by most people. This is spacious, clean & cozy cottage located in a 'dryer' part of the island when compared to Hilo, Keauu', Hawaiian Paradise Park and Pahoa. If you want to stay in an area with less rain, this is it. It has 1 bedroom w/ queen bed and a nice futon in the living room. It has a 'food prep' area w/ full sized fridge, plates, utensils and coffee maker - but no MW or stove. It has one of the very best ocean views in the entire area where you can hear the waves crashing on the cliffs across the street. It is a located in a remote setting, but there are local markets, farmers markets, café and bar just 1-3 miles away. If you want to escape to paradise, you have found it. We provide information on the refrigerator on how to get to local stores, trails, beach access, and other sites in the area, which makes it easy for you to navigate. You will love the Dolphin Cottage and will want to return as we are always upgrading our property to improve our customers experience.

Kehena Beach (bathing suit optional) is across the street. The cottage is just 13 miles from Pahoa. Pahoa is an old Hawaiian village w/ stores, markets, restaurants, and farmers markets. We also have Uncles Awa Bar, a store and café, at the end of our street - just 3.2 miles away.. If you want to be on the coast w/ an ocean view, Kehena Beach is where you want to be.
