I was born 3 years after the country was unified - 1978! My family has 4 people: my husband, 21-year-old daughter (studying in Paris), 14-year-old son and me. We only have 2 names: both parents are named Binh, both children are named Minh. Binh Minh in English is Sunrise. I can speak English and also French. Everyone asks why I chose French, I often joke that it was French that chose me. Actually, it was because in the 90s, the high school in my hometown (suburb of Hanoi) only taught French (no English). After 3 years of studying French in high school, I continued for 4 years at the university of foreign languages with the hope of becoming a French teacher, but once again, tourism chose me, and I have been working in tourism with mainly French-speaking guests since the 2000s.
