This charming garden cottage is situated on a quiet street and is walking distance from all central amenities. It features an open plan lounge and kitchen area, bedroom and en-suite bathroom. The bedroom features a single day bed (for a child), a chest of drawers, a cosy fireplace, and a door which leads onto a garden patio where you can relax and enjoy a braai. There is a carport available for off-street parking. The Living room has a fully functional kitchen, a pull out sofa bed that sleep 2, a TV and a small dining table for 2 and two other lounge chairs.

Myself, Colin, and my partner, Louise, are your hosts at Abigail's Garden Cottage. We both love nature and the beauty it offers so close to us in and around Montagu. I, being an avid rock climber, spend a lot of time in the magnificent, picturesque mountains surrounding the village. They create a sublime backdrop to the tranquility of our home. Louise, an embroidery artist, draws inspiration from the diverse landscape that surrounds us. If you are looking to escape the noise for a leisurely stay, or a work trip, then our garden cottage is the ideal place for your private break away. Montagu is a town in the Western Cape province of South Africa, about 180 km from Cape Town in western Little Karoo. It is named after former secretary of the Cape Colony, John Montagu, but was once known as Agter Cogman’s Kloof, where Cogman’s Kloof linked the town and railway station. It is situated at the confluence of the Keisie and Kingna rivers. Founded on the farm Uitvlugt in 1851, the town is known for its hot mineral springs and scenic mountains. It is an agricultural centre, where orchards and vineyards are prolific. The farming area, Koo, lies north of the town and is famous for the quality of its apples, pears, apricots and peaches. Nearby rock formations make it one of the country's major rock-climbing venues making it a popular destination for the adventurous kind. The 1266m-high Bloupunt peak overlooks the village and offers several hiking trails of varying intensity. Montagu is near the Robertson Wine Valley, which boasts some of the finest wines in the Western Cape. It is easily reached via the Route 62 scenic route. This quaint town offers a fantastic range of restaurants, activities, and breathtaking scenery, making it a highly desirable destination bound to impress all who stay and explore.
