The calm turquois of the Indian Ocean seamlessly merges into the green and gold of lush indigenous forests and pristine fynbos that covers the blue-grey mountains, capped by the magnificent African sky. Guiding your eyes through this collage of never-ending vistas is the Keurbooms River. At Alkantmooi you are on top of the world with beauty in every direction, or alkantmooi in Afrikaans.
Exploring beyond Alkantmooi Private Nature Reserve by no means diminishes the beautiful experience. Plettenberg Bay is famous for its unspoiled beaches, fascinating tourist attractions, good restaurants and interesting shops. Just up the road is The Crags, an area known for everything from elephants, monkeys, birds and wild cats to sparkling wine, pottery and a theatre in a barn. Ideally situated for a stopover between Cape Town and Addo National Park.
