Situated below the Helderberg mountain and a short drive from strand beach. We have three lovely en-suite bedrooms available at present. A large garden and veggie patch as well as a swimming pool, braai facilities and outdoor seating. Each booking comes with a continental breakfast served until 10am. We are NOT a self-catering facility but do provide plates, cutlery, braai facilities, and a microwave. Delivery or Uber eats is also easily accessible!
Founded by Stuart and Emma Thompson (father and daughter), Almond Cottage is a welcoming homestead for travelers coming from near and far! We have a passion for meeting new people and sharing our love of South Africa. You will be welcomed by the big smile and embrace of Bessie (she is the main host and your go-to lady!)
We are at the foot of the Helderberg mountain in a quiet residential area, near to shops(Waterstone village), malls (Somerset Mall), N2 highway to the airport and Cape Town. There are several golf courses and many wine farms nearby. good restaurants and breweries in Somerset West central - 10 mins. close to schools and Helderberg College for parents visiting. We are a 15 min drive to Stellenbosch and a short drive to strand beach.
