We are family owned and run business. We are friendly and welcoming and we are around to assist you with your household or tourist needs! We love visiting restaurants at the many wine farms around us and our children especially love playing at Vergelegen Wine Estate nearby. We know great spots for families with children so if you would like a quick 'itinerary' of places that are child-friendly, please ask me and I'll be happy to assist you!

*Please note: Borehole water supplies the guesthouse with water. We have renovated and refurbished a charming old house into a 12 bedroom, four star graded guesthouse. The house was built more than thirty years ago and has an old 'manor' house era feel to it with beautiful views of the sea or mountains from the upstairs bedrooms as well as very spacious lounges and living areas and a huge garden and heated pool - great for relaxing and lounging your summers away! We also have a small conference / meeting room for intimate gatherings of up to 12 people. We are situated in Parel Vallei, a very sought after area of Somerset West and we are close to shops, great restaurants as well as the stunning Helderberg Mountain for hiking and walking. The beach is also a short 10 minutes drive away. Not to mention the many and varied beautiful wine farms & restaurants situated in Somerset West and in Stellenbosch, Franschoek and Paarl. The viby city of Cape Town is a mere 30 - 40 min drive away for a bit of sightseeing and festivities. We are securely situated in a panhandle and we have security measures in place for peace of mind.

Neighborhood info

The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, with residential houses surrounding our guesthouse. It is a very lush neighbourhood with trees and vegetation and friendly people. Somerset West is a small town so it is laid back relaxed compared to Cape Town, but it is very child friendly so ideally suited to families! You'll often see kids walking to and from school near us or people walking their dogs in the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood has a very community-oriented feeling and we are very happy living here and we hope you enjoy your stay too!
