On the slopes of Devil’s Peak, this charming guest house offers a tranquil garden with a seasonal pool. Built in 1901, Carmichael is a well restored example of Victorian Cape architecture. Fitted with elegant wooden floors, all rooms are equipped with satellite TV and a mini-bar. Each comes with a work desk and a private bathroom. Tea/coffee makers are provided. Valérie & Yves are the sole owners of the Boutique Hotel since 2010. Ever since then, together with their team, they've worked hard, providing consistent high standard services which led to the awarding of a fourth star in 2012. Last September, after major upgrades, the establishment has been accredited as a four star Boutique Hotel. They enjoy sharing their beautiful home with guests and sharing their love for Cape Town nature and activities.

For the best rates, book direct and save! Our Boutique Hotel is a beautiful Victorian mansion, originally built in 1896 and fully renovated in 2020, a proper Gem!.. Each bedroom shows elegance and style and is decorated after a gemstone colour tone. The accommodation varies between luxury double bedrooms, family suites or even a loft (honeymoon suite) built on the second floor under the roof ceiling. The perfect getaway for a romantic stay!

The Boutique Hotel is ideally positioned in a quiet and leafy area and just 15 min away from the airport or 10 min from the city center. The Baxter Theater and the UCT ( university of Cape Town) are within walking distance. We are on the slopes of Devil's Peak ( Table Mountain national park ), and one can enjoy magnificent walks from the guest house. Before you know, you've even end up within Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden!... Winelands are a mere 30 min drive and beaches 10 min.
