Situated near breathtaking Sunrise Beach in Muizenberg, Cape Town, Chamomile Cottage enables its guests to experience a unique, relaxed part of Cape Town. The holiday house is within walking distance to the beach, and on a main route to the Cape Town city centre, the deep South where 2 oceans meet as well as the eastern suburbs leading to the winelands.
We have been living in Muizenberg with sand in our feet for over 12 years and still absolutely enjoy feeling like being on holiday every day. Our itchy feet are subdued with travel, hiking, an occasional adrenalin rush and candlelit food adventures. The 3 Cs dominate our lives: cats, chocolate and coffee.
The idyllic Muizenberg beach is popular with watersport enthusiasts especially surfers and kitesurfers. The combination of sand, sea and mountain offers endless opportunities for flying hair in the wind, riding the waves, gazing across False Bay, quiet contemplation and inspirational rejuvenation. Take in the freshness of the ocean, majestic views from scenic Boyes Drive, lose track of time with long beach walks, buy dinner in historical Kalk Bay harbour and savour the catches from small-scale fisherman, or board a train for an amazing and magical ride along the surf to the naval town of Simon's Town which is also the home of a world famous penguin colony.
