Dolphin Inn Guesthouse Blouberg was established in 1995, managed and overseen by the owners themselves. Ensuring that our guests can feel at home and have a clean, neat and quiet place to overnight. Recently we have scaled down the business. We only rent out limited rooms in the house on a room-only basis. There is a communal lounge with coffee, tea and rusks and the guest are welcome to make use of the communal kitchen area too. There is a wide variety of restaurants and coffee shops close to the guesthouse. From the moment you arrive at our guesthouse you will experience true, unpretentious hospitality. We are, who we are and for us it is very important that all our guests feels comfortable and as if they are at their home in Blouberg, Cape Town. Kom kuier vir ons!

Dolphin Inn Guesthouse Blouberg was started by my parents in 1995 after we moved down from a very small town in Namaqwaland, North Western Cape. After my mother passed away in 2002, I've been managing the guesthouse together with my father. We are a very strong father-and-daughter team and always go out of our way to make our guests feel right at home. Unfortunately, the pandemic and load shedding had a big economic impact on our business. We will continue to be positive that the pandemic will end and tourism in Cape Town will pick up again. Madeleine had to find alternative work (although she is always close by, still helping her dad Bokkie with the guesthouse admin) and staff has been retrenched. We are living with the faith that we will rise again and we will continue to offer true "plattelandse" South African Hospitality. Maybe just a little bit different and maybe even better than before. Ps. Madeleine (daughter) is now teaching Boxing and Muaythai to women. Guests are welcome to book a beach boxing session with her. She is also still handling all the guesthouse admin. Our central location in the Blouberg area is a big positive and a good reason to stay at Dolphin Inn Blouberg. You can walk to the beach with that incredible Table Mountain Views. The restaurants are close by and Dolphin Inn is perfectly situated for anyone who would like to be active on the Beach Promenade, whether it is for a morning jog, a casual walk, spinning on stationary bikes or taking a ride on a electric scooter. I can even offer you some beach boxing sessions too. Just ask Madeleine. (ex SA Muaythai Fighter) Watersports are a big thing here. You will always see the surfers early in the morning catching waves in front of Doodles. On perfect days the Stand Up Paddlers enjoy the quiet waters and the perfect views of Table Mountain. In the afternoon when the wind picks up, you will see the Kitesurfers coming out to play at Dolphin Beach, Kite Beach. This is also the venue for the annual Red Bull King of The Air international kitesurfing competition. (1 - 16 Feb.) The windsurfers enjoy their sports at Rietvlei, Big Bay and all the spots along the coast towards Melkbos. You will find it all here....close to the Dolphin Inn Blouberg.
