I love meeting new people and welcoming them into my home and to our beautiful city. We are happy to help plan trips, order transport, give advice and enjoy a drink watching gorgeous sunsets on the deck. I enjoy interacting with our guests and I am a hands-on host, residing on the property as well.

Property info

Dunvegan Lodge is our piece of paradise tucked away in the tranquil and semi-rural enclave of Clovelly. The Lodge is adjacent to the beach, Clovelly golf course and has walks into the Silvermine nature reserve from the rear of the property. The beautiful garden with solar heated swimming pool is a fantastic place to spend a lazy afternoon after a hectic days sightseeing around the Cape Peninsula. The Lodge is built high above the road, so all the rooms have beautiful views either across the Fish Hoek valley or of the fynbos covered Clovelly mountainside. We are not affected by load shedding as we have installed a solar and battery powered invertor. WIFI speed is 50 up and 50 down throughout the Guesthouse. There are paths and walks leading in all directions from the rear of the house - one could walk over the saddle to Kalk Bay and have a breakfast at the famous Olympia bakery or walk along the contour path to the golf club. The road running past the Lodge is a cul-de-sac leading to Clovelly golf course and so is almost deserted with very little traffic after the golf club closes for the day.

Neighborhood info

Clovelly is a peaceful and extremely secure area with a small community of friendly and helpful people. The extremely active Clovelly Neighbourhood Watch is always on hand to ensure that Clovelly remains a safe and secure environment. Even though Clovelly may seem to be tucked away, it is a couple of minutes to the shops of Fish Hoek and the quaint fishing community of Kalk Bay. All the major attractions of the Peninsula are easily accessible via car from Clovelly but then we have the added advantage of one being able to relax in this serene and peaceful area after the days sightseeing.
