The Hideaway at Hillandale is tucked away in the forest with complete privacy and spectacular forest and mountain views! Enjoy amazing birdlife, tranquility and beautiful walks. The Hideaway is completely off the grid, so no need to worry about load shedding!! We use solar power, gas geysers and rain water. Feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but within 5 minutes of stunning Keurbooms beach, 10 minutes from Plettenberg Bay and 10 minutes from the Crags, Plett Winelands and a host of amazing wildlife places! With so much to keep you busy locally, it is a treat to come back to the Hideaway and feel away from it all! The Hideaway is a brand new build, tucked away out of sight near the bottom of our ridge. It has all facilities for a very comfortable self catering stay. It has a fireplace with endless firewood available as well as a large firepit for those wishing to barbecue and enjoy outside eating. Guests are welcome to explore our land, there is some beautiful hiking and riding all around us!
We are an outdoor, adventure loving family who have chosen to leave the city and embrace country life! We’ve been privileged to find a piece of land in one of the most beautiful parts of the world! It’s so special here, we decided to build a hideaway to be able to share this magical place! Enjoy being tucked away in a peaceful haven with magnificent mountain and forest views and very close access to some of the most stunning beaches in the world!
As much as being here feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, we are extremely conveniently located and have access to a range of top class restaurants and shops! We are within 3km of the amazing Enrico's restaurant on Keurbooms beach and within easy access to all the Plett and Crags eateries too. Moss and Maple Farm stall is within walking distance and Thyme and Again Farm stall only 5 minutes drive. The Plett Winelands, including the amazing Newstead and Bramon vienyards, are only 10 minutes away! We have a wide range of local wildlife experiences, including Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, The Snake park and Jukani, to mention but a few! For horselovers, Hog Hollow is just down the ride and they offer regular guided tours. Kurland hotel is also within 10 minutes and it hosts regular national and international polo tournaments, which are great fun to watch!
