Hillside Hideaway Cabin is situated in the Rheenendal area a few minutes outside of Knysna. It is a beautiful free standing wooden cabin nestled in between Indigenous flora. The Fish Eagles is a common sight above the cabin - bird life is in abundance, surrounding the Hillside Hideaway Cabin. Stunning mountain views from the deck area for ultimate tranquility. The Hillside Hideaway Cabin is close to beaches as well as Sanparks hiking and Mountain biking trails. The Cabin is fully equipped for all your self catering needs with a gas hob and braai area. Towels and bed linen are offered in the villa. The property offers garden views. Hillside Hideaway Cabin is situated on Spurwing Lodge Farm - a working cattle and citrus farm. While relaxing in the wood fired hot tub your senses will be brought to life with bird song, Fish Eagle calling while your BBQ fire crackles. Rheenendal is rich with Knysna history including the Gold mines in the Bibbies hoek area. Our sister farm - Charlesford farm is close by - our Charlesford butchery is renowned for our high quality, hormone free meat.
Our team take great pride in making each guest feel welcome and special- which is evident in our Welcome basket, Special decor and the detail paid to easy living makes your stay memorable.
Knysna and Rheenendal areas are rich in history - museums, the local mine and timber industries are great to visit. There is a huge number of restaurants to choose from. Regular holiday events are hosted in the area. There are 3 beeches to choose from in the immediate surrounds plus many more in our neighbouring towns. Bring along hiking gear - SanParks offer several hiking trails - they vary from very easy to really tough. There is so much to see, experience and and to do - one week is just not enough.
