We are young South African family who are passionate about our farm, guests and staff. We aim to provide a bush experience in the tranquil setting of the Bitou Valley.

Howberry Hills is a 110000 m2 Guest Lodge designed to offer a distinctive experience, featuring cozy accommodations with views of the lush surroundings. Set along the World famous South African Garden Route in Wittedrift, Plettenberg Bay. Situated in the hills surrounding the Bitou river with magnificent views over the valley towards the mountains beyond and only minutes from fantastic sandy beaches. Endless activities abound in the area, from water sports, whale watching, the world’s highest Bungy to Safari experiences, horse trail riding, hiking and much, much more.

Our lodge is surrounded by rolling hills, birdlife, and open gardens where guests can relax by the pool, enjoy the views, or simply slow down and breathe. We offer a variety of accommodation styles to suit different travellers, including comfortable bed & breakfast rooms, private self-catering cottages, and our unique luxury glamping tents. Many of our guests tell us that what they love most about staying here is the balance between tranquillity and adventure. Within a short drive you can explore some of the Garden Route’s most spectacular attractions such as the dramatic coastal trails of Robberg Nature Reserve, the free-flight bird sanctuary at Birds of Eden, and the lush forests of Tsitsikamma National Park. Guests can also enjoy activities like swimming with seals, horse riding, kayaking, wine tasting, or even visiting the nearby Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve.
