The award winning Kanonkop House is special, intimate boutique hotel with magnificent views over the forest canopy, lagoon and famous Knysna Heads. As an owner run property, every effort is made to make sure our guests have the most perfect stay. With only 7 special rooms, all individual named and decorated offer something for everybody. Relax at the 15 meter pool and enjoy a complimentary drink from the 24 hour bar, or venture into our stunning indigenous garden and forest. Knysna town center is a mere 5 minute drive with a plethora of activities, restaurants and sightseeing.
As the owners of Kanonkop House we are on hand on a daily basis to help guide you and make sure your time in our our beautiful town is used to the maximum. Personal favorites of ours is our amazing blue flag beaches, the spectacular forest (64 000 hectares and the 4th best managed forest in the world), sailing on the lagoon, whale watching in season, shopping, eating and drinking or simply just enjoying the surrounds of Kanonkop House.
Kanonkop House is set high up on Kanonkop Hill, above the famous lagoon with our private indigenous forest stretching all the way down the hill. It is here where you can enjoy a quite relaxed atmosphere of being out of town, with all the conveniences of having the center of town only 5 minutes down the road.
