The Leibbrandt family purchased Kleinwatervalplaas in 2013, and over the years, we have upgraded and improved the property. The main focus is to have a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere on the property as well as being able to enjoy the natural environment.

Want to spend some time away from the city, rat race, noise, pollution and traffic, right in the middle of nowhere? Just an hour and a half away from Cape Town and you can enjoy the country life. Klein Watervalplaas (little waterfall farm) is a mix of animal pasture and Fynbos covering an area of 26 hectares situated in the Overberg area in the Western Cape. The valley itself is named “Hemel en Aarde Vallei” which means Heaven on Earth Valley. The farm has three cottages (two 4 person cottages & one 2 person cottage) as well as a restaurant which opens on weekends (Fri - 4pm to 8pm, Sat - 10am to 4pm, Sun - 10am to 4pm). When arriving at the farm you are welcome to head straight to your cottage (they have name boards) and get settled in, no need to collect keys as these will already be at the cottage waiting for you. Our farm is located in Tesselaarsdal which is 30 minutes away from Caledon and 45 minutes from Hermanus when using the R320 (Hemel & Aarde Rd). From the R320 to Tesselaarsdal is about 15km and the road is gravel, it is usually in good condition however if you are travelling during the winter months or if there has been lots of rain please make sure to drive slower than usual to avoid being caught by some hazard spots.

The Overberg region has plenty to offer, depending on where you choose to venture off to. Locally, in Tesselaarsdal and the Hemel en Aarde valley, you will find mountain bike trails, hiking trails, plenty of wine farms that offer tastings, two cheese factories, and the towns of Caledon and Hermanus, which have plenty more to offer.
