Langebaan On Sea is situated in an outstanding location just 100 metres from Langebaan Main Beach and 400 metres from all popular restaurants and shops. It is situated in the perfect location for watersports enthusiasts, including kitesurfers, windsurfers, canoeists and those who enjoy fishing or beach walks. The garden and swimming pool are extremely well protected from the Cape South-Easter during the windy months which means guests can lie at the pool to their hearts content, even during strong winds. The pool is not fenced and therefore not safe for young children or non-swimmers. The walls surrounding the house also guarantee excellent privacy. The flow from the lounge/TV area and kitchen dining area to the pool is accessed by large double doors. Rooms are cosy and we've attempted to create a natural West Coast feel with white-washed furniture and wall art that captures the very spirit of the area.
Langebaan On Sea is owner managed by Warren Williams and his wife Helen. Warren grew up across the road at his grand-parents house as a child and knows the area extremely well. He is also regarded as one of South Africa's most sought-after wedding and lifestyle photographers. His landscape and seascape photography depicting the West Coast is without parallel and his work has been published in various publications as well as online. He offers photographic tours of the area (including birding photo-tours) to guests who want to capture the true spirit of the Langebaan, West Coast National Park, Veldif, Paternoster and Cape Columbine areas. He and Helen are accomplished chefs of outstanding seafood paellas, creating outstanding culinary fish and braai experiences for guests in true West Coast fashion.
The area is abundant in special places to visit and extraordinary experiences. Langebaan Main Beach is a short 1-minute walk away, while popular kitesurfing beach Shark Bay is a 4-minute drive away. From a trip up the Cape Columbine lighthouse in Tietiesbaai, to secluded walks in secret bays near Paternoster to a cycle through the West Coast National Park, or great coffee in Velddrif, Warren and Helen are a minefield of information - you won't be bored! Restaurants in the area offer a diverse range of fare for foodies, from steak and pizza to seafood and curry.
