Custom built on the mountainside in historical Simon’s Town, award-winning eco-friendly 4-star Mariner Guesthouse offers breath-taking sea views across False Bay. We are within walking distance of restaurants and beaches, and pride ourselves on offering style, comfort and friendly hospitality. Our owner involvement makes it possible to be flexible and attentive to our guests’ needs. We offer a standard of service that is exceptional and personal and look forward to making your stay an unforgettable one! The building has been architecturally designed with space, comfort and luxury in mind. The décor is an elegant combination of classic and modern, with a light maritime touch to complement. The 4-story house has with a double-volume lounge and fireplace, while the dining area has large picture windows and opens onto a protected veranda where guests can enjoy a hearty breakfast, consisting of a self-help Continental buffet and can order a hot breakfast from our a-la-carte menu. We offer different room types at different rates for different needs. All rooms have mini self-catering facilities with microwave ovens, bar fridges and tea/coffee making facilities. Our Garden Apartment is ideal for longer stays and those preferring self-catering, and offers a private, enclosed garden which also makes it safe and secure for children and pets. Alternatively, our Family Unit with interleading door between our two Sail Rooms, is also a good option for families. Breakfast is added as an optional extra to these two units, depending on the number and ages of guests booked. We are happy to arrange lunches, dinners or picnic baskets or transfers and tours. Make sure to visit the African Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach, the Cape of Good Hope, go snorkeling or diving, book a kayak/water bike/boat trip or visit nearby vineyards. Ours is a safe and quiet neighbourhood on the mountainside above Simon's Town. Apart from various beaches down the road from us, there are many hiking trails, boat trips, snorkling/diving and other adventure sports in our area. From Mariner Guesthouse, you can take the garden steps and walk to quaint and unique interior, clothing and gift shops. Explore our museums, of which we can recommend the Toy Soldier and Navy Museum, go on a guided "historical ghost tour" (wooo) or enjoy lunch/dinner at one of the excellent coffee shops or restaurants in Simon's Town. If you don't feel like walking back up the hill after all this, let us arrange a transfer for you. ;)
