Plotsklaps, situated in Tokai/Constantia, is ideal family accommodation which sleeps a total of five people. The cottage is on the grounds of the main house, and you share the garden, lapa, and swimming pool facilities. The upstairs master bedroom has a king size bed, and a single bed, with air-conditioning.
The downstairs bedroom has two bunk beds. Both bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms.
The dining area and downstairs lounge share their own air-conditioning unit.
We have a GENERATOR on site to off-set load shedding.
We are approximately 2 kms from both the American Consulate and Reddam Private School.
Tokai is located:
24kms from Cape Town centre and the V & A Waterfront
31kms from Cape Town International Airport
11kms to Muizenberg Beach Front
36kms to Cape Point
5kms from local shops, restaurants and wine estates
We love hosting as we enjoy the company of people while understanding that this is your time and would choose to have some quiet time. We do our best to keep out the way but more than happy to have our guests knock on the door. We love to braai in the evenings have a good laugh over a beer or glass of wine, while enjoying a plate of food together. Rachael is a very homely person, who runs for sport, while I (David) love to fish and have my own boat which is mainly used to catch both crayfish and yellowtail at Cape Point when both in season and weather allows. I am always happy to take visitors out fishing or site seeing from the boat or just to enjoy being close to the water and ocean life, even watching some dolphins, if we are lucky.
Our young adult children, Cameron & Tikana, are usually around and happy to assist when we are not available. Both of them love the outdoors reflecting this in their involvement with scouting and the Hout Bay sea rescue station of the NSRI.
On arrival at Plotsklaps, you will be welcomed by ourselves followed by our friendly springer spaniel, Amy and Snoopy, one of our 3 cats.
We have very good restaurants with-in 3 kms of us. There are an abundance of hiking trails and horse riding by simply walking out our front door. Mountain biking is 3 kms away. A golf course down the road with about 3 world class wine farms with-in 7 kms.
There is both fishing, kite-surfing, surfing and good beaches at Muizenburg ( 12-15kms)
There are 3 shopping centres within close proximity of Plotsklaps (5kms) offfering a range of shopping from groceries, hair salons, jewellery, bookstores, clothing and restaurants & cafes.
