Seaside haven is a mere 10-minute stroll from wonderful Boulders Beach, where you get to swim with penguins and visit the African penguins breeding site. Even closer, a mere 3-minute walk away is Fisherman's Beach, while across the road is a great dive or snorkelling site. If you are here between June and November, you will be able to enjoy some whale-spotting from your patio. Seaside haven is a comfortable, cosy spot across the road from the ocean. The accommodation best suits two adults or a family of up to 4. The main room has a double bed and the small, second bedroom has a bunk bed. The decor is fresh and practical, with a drop-down desk for those needing to work remotely.

Mike and I really enjoy meeting new people from all walks of life. We enjoy cycling, swimming and snorkeling, particularly at nearby Windmill beach which is rich in fish and other sea life. Our home is above Seaside Haven so we are generally available if guests have any questions or needs.

The area is a holiday haven, a few kilometres downtown of Simon's Town, with 3 great beaches all within walking distance, including the famous Boulder's Beach, with its penguin colony that has brought Simon's Town fame as 'Penguin Town'. Seaside Haven is just a stone's throw from where the fascinating documentary 'My Octopus Teacher' was filmed. The town itself has a number of great restaurants, with The Lighthouse Cafe being our particular favourite. There is a fantastic patisserie and a number of super coffee shops. As Simon's Town is a naval town there is an interesting naval museum and the Submarine museum, the first of its kind in Africa, giving you a taste of what it would be like to live and serve in a submarine, is worth a visit. Kayaking tours, whale-watching boat tours, bicycle hire are all available in Simon's Town.
