Welcome to Summerhill Guest Farm, conveniently located and managed by the proprietor and hosts, Bob and Wendy Parris. Bob and Wendy are both retired from the rat race and now live on and farm the small holding. Wendy and her team will make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable.

Property info

Summerhill is ideal for a family weekend getaway or a business person who would like to wake up in the countryside. Relaxing, peaceful and children-friendly with many farm animals. Summerhill is 5km from Worcester and 1hour 15min from Cape Town. It is ideally situated for the exploration of the Breede River Valley and Route 62 or for business travelers to Worcester. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms, air conditioners, fridges, televisions and tea and coffee making facilities. Four of these cosy units are self-catering. We are a working farm with many farm animals including horses, rabbits, chickens, tortoises and a donkey called Coco Pops. We have a pool, picnic and braai facilities. We are pet friendly and the farm is peaceful and quiet. However, it is a paradise for children. We are surrounded by the majestic Brandwacht Mountains, vineyards and horses. We have plenty of safe off street parking.

Worcester is one of the largest Boland towns and it goes hand in hand with wine, accompanied by a proud tradition stretching over 250 years. This verdant town offers spectacular scenery beginning at the foot of the Worcester Valley to as far down as the Hex River Valley. Lord Charles Somerset named this place after his older brother – the marquee of Worcester – when it was laid out in the farms Roodewal (red wall) and Langerug (long back) back in 1820. Worcester, with it's mountainous landscape is a paradise for the nature lovers. It also offers plenty of activities for the adventure and sports enthusiasts. Food and wine lovers are amply catered for.
