Montagu has twice been named "Countryside Town of the Year" so you'll love the privacy, comfort, location and views of this self-contained apartment with private entrance. You'll be within walking distance of many tourist sites, restaurants, hiking trails, etc, but tucked away from the hustle-n-bustle when at your accommodation. The kitchenette allows you to do your own cooking should you want to, although Montagu offers many great restaurants. To help you relax during your stay, we provide a wide range of DVDs, NETFLIX, magazines and board games for indoor entertainment, free wi-fi, and outside you have exclusive use of a private patio for outdoor meals/drinks (and access to a portable braai/BBQ) with lovely mountain & garden view. If you're looking for an active countryside holiday, we provide many tourist brochures for activities and sites in our region. The one restriction we put on our Annexe is a "minimum 2-night stay" (and discounts for a longer stay!) - so that you'll get to enjoy the attractions of Montagu without hurrying on too quickly. A past career in the hospitality industry (5 star hotels, in SA and Europe) means I know how much guests appreciate clean and comfortable accommodation, in beautiful surroundings, with easy access to amenities. My husband and I live on the property too (separate entrance), so we're right on hand to welcome you, give restaurant or tourist-related recommendations, or attend to queries. Montagu was voted "Countryside Town of the Year 2018 and 2025". It's one of the few remaining countryside towns where you can walk at night, cycle in safety, see children playing outdoors, be greeted as you pass people on the street, and generally feel relaxed and welcomed. There are MANY outdoor attractions to make your visit memorable, and the Montagu mountains and kloofs are perfect for those who enjoy walking, hiking, mountain biking and climbing. And for those who like something more sedentary, there are museums, art galleries, wine tastings, guided tours and the like.
