Hout Bay, or the Republic of Hout Bay as locals affectionately call it, is a fantastic seaside town in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is situated in a Valley on the Atlantic seboard of the Cape Peninsula, 20km south of Cape Town. Chapman's Peak drive is on the western side of the Cape peninsula between Hout Bay and Noordhoek. Hout Bay is home to the wonderfull world of Birds wildlife sanctuary & Monkey Park and the Bay Harbour Market is everything from arts and crafts to the most delicious food market.
