The Doune house is in a good location, close to Inverness with its wide array of shopping and restaurants. The house is easily accessible from the A9 and it is also close to the train station in the center of the city and a short drive to the Inverness airport. The house is very comfortable and well-equipped, including both an induction stove, and an Aga stove in the kitchen, and full laundry facilities. The geothermal in-floor heating system made all three floors of the house comfortably warm. The rooms are well-furnished, including the sitting room with a fire place. The house is a perfect base for day trips to historic sites and hiking trails.

This was a beautiful hotel. I love the swimming pool most of all as when I travel around Scotland I didn’t expect to find, but I always bring my bathing. It was a lovely temperature and also had a sauna and steamer. It is a beautiful property.

We really enjoyed our stay tremendously. This is not a fancy luxury hotel. But the generosity and kindness of the staff and their eagerness to help made us feel welcome and valued. They took care of every request promptly and perfectly. The rooms were clean, quiet and pleasant. Charming little cabin. Modern with cute decorative touches. Owners are very nice. Beautiful views, serene location. Hottub was great! Nice little covered patios. Comfy beds. Well lit. A great escape! Would definitely recommend! We hope to return someday. Our kids loved all the nearby sheep.
