Port Arthur is a must see, so much History you need to revisit, beautiful grounds
My tip would be to wear sensible sturdy shoes as I fractured my ankle only 2 hours into our tour on uneven ground and loose gravel
so disappointed, the next 10 days of the holiday was ruined :(

Wow!!!
Wow!!! If you don't know already this is a must do when in Tasmania. Spent a whole day there and enjoyed every minute of it. We went in winter time which gave us a nanoscopic inkling of the harshness of the day when it was a penal colony.
Would probably do this again.

So close to the Port Arthur historic site. It was incredibly convenient. Lots of nicities, including grande marshmallows to go with the hot chocolate mix they provided.

Spacious, clean and comfortable Studio cabin in a lovely setting. Very close to Port Arthur Historic site and also the Tasman Golf course. Lovely walks around the property and nearby beaches.

We stayed at this Hotel, The Fox and Hounds because it was convenient and close to the Port Arthur Historical site, after traveling down from Bicheno, on the way to the historical site.

Our room had excellent view of the river. Room was spacious for a family of three. Staff was helpful & friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant. The service was excellent & the food was great! It was an excellent meal. Hotel is conveniently located which is only a short drive away from Port Arthur Historical Site & Cape Raoul. Location is quiet with good shower and ample parking space.
