Got in free due to the ticketing system being down when we visited. So enjoyed it fine, but not if we'd paid. It's mostly decorated rooms with a video playing, but very little in the way of guides or info. Visited the Georgian House in Edinburgh which is obviously very similar, but that has guides in costume in each room who describe everything and are very knowledgeable.

The use of 'following' a particular family through their day and at the end, being able to find out what happened to each of the family members through their lives made this museum 'more real'.
