The staff was so helpful, arranging to have my car parked and returned each day I was in wine country. They also gave me a list of off-the-beaten-path restaurants that turned out to all be delicious. Breakfast was also delicious and in a beautiful room with painted ceilings. You can't beat the hotel's location, it's practically inside the Uffizi Museum. Walking to the major attractions was very easy.

We stayed at the hotel as a couple and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is in a fantastic central location, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, and we felt well taken care of during our stay. The staff were very helpful and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, and the location in the city center is excellent. It’s a great base for sightseeing, with many attractions within walking distance.

Ponte Vecchio

Peruse the shops perched above the River Arno on this pedestrian bridge. Dating back to 972, its history is the stuff of storybooks. Ponte Vecchio’s seen it all from noble feuds to ruinous floods. Once a market where vendors sold meat, the smell of raw flesh tossed in the Arno disgusted the Medici dukes. Today’s retailers are much less carnivorous (they’re jewellers).

A must if you are in Florence, not so much for the view across the river but it only takes a few minutes to walk across ~ good to learn its history so you understand its importance to the city. The shops are tourist traps for price though but if you want something, get it anyway!!

If you can take the special tour along the secret passage from the Uffizi to the Pitti Palace. The walkway is along the windows atop the Ponte Vecchio. If shopping for gold jewelry etc. along the Ponte Vecchio, be sure to shop around.

Ponte Vecchio is an amazing spot to buy jewelry from jewelers that have been in the business for centuries. The price of gold is standardized so not much point going from each place to ask about the price of gold, instead find a store that specializes in what you're looking for and has the style you like. Some places specialize in gems, others gold, others vintage pieces.

Go really early for great photos without crowds or sunset and night. Bellisimo. Be careful when walking over the bridge in the day as it gets very crowded and artists put their drawings on the ground and if you walk on it, you buy it!

You have to buy something from 18-karat gold here☺️!

You have to buy something from 18-karat gold here☺️! It’s not cheap but gold is tradition in Florence ( and leather). But be prepared that it’s only not crowded in the morning (when only few shops are open though).

The location being a block off of the Ponte Vecchio Bridge is just spectacular, the breakfast was as good as at any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room was small but very well appointed very nice bathroom. There was a roof garden on the fourth floor that was so nice to sit out at in the evenings. The staff in the breakfast room and at the registration counter were most helpful and very pleasant.

European hotel rooms tend to be smaller than in America but we were two people in a room with a double bed and attached bathroom with shower and it was fine for us. There was room around the bed and space for our luggage though I have to say that we only travel with medium sized luggage, never large. The hotel was about 2 minutes walking from the Ponte Vecchio Bridge and the Uffize Museum. Everything else was about 5 to 10 minutes walking like the main Duomo Cathedral. It also had perfect working air conditioning in the room.

Lovely apartment. And if you’ve been to Florence before, you’ll know the location is just spot on. A 5 minute walk from the SMN train station, 10 minute walk to the Ponte vecchio and around the same to be in santo Spirito. Perfect

The hotel was in the heart of the city, with a 5 minute walk to the Duomo, 10 minutes to Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio. Comfortable beds, great breakfast and friendly staff. Well soundproofed given the number of tours that were going through the small square outside the hotel. Charming neighborhood.

Beautiful apartment…hardwood floors, lovely living area, nice kitchenette. The location could not be better…steps away from the Ponte Vecchio, but away from the crowds. Fantastic coffee shop around the corner…excellent restaurants. 5-15 minute walk from any main attraction. We arrived in the evening but the self-check-in process was simple.

The mini kitchen was hidden in an armoire. Excellent use of space in the one bedroom suite. The room looked out onto the piazza, but with double sets of windows the room was quiet. Fantastic location with only a few minutes walk to the Duomo, the Accademia, Ufizzi and the Ponte Vecchio. This is an apartment and there is no concierge on site, but the main hotel was just a phone call away if help was needed. Reception at the check in hotel walked my luggage over to the apartment - in 5 minutes. All very easy.
