Kyoto is my absolute favorite among the large Japanese cities, and when in Kyoto, this hotel is always my first choice. I usually book the same type of room. While it’s slightly more expensive than I’d wish, it’s absolutely worth it: always perfectly clean, and the staff are consistently smiling and incredibly helpful. What I like? The room was spotless, calm and quiet. The hotel staff were exceptional — genuinely warm, attentive, and helpful. The location is ideal, within walking distance of everything, yet offering a peaceful riverfront retreat after a busy day. Breakfast was delicious and well organized...

Kyoto and Japan are amazing and this inn is in a great location with an exceptional staff who work hard to make sure your needs are fulfilled as their guests. I was given a complimentary free of charge bottle of sake as bonus! Thumbs up!

I stayed for one night at this fantastic hotel, which is perfectly located in the middle of a prime shopping area in Kawaramachi, Kyoto. The hotel is surrounded by great shopping options, with a large GU/Uniqlo store beside it and a Nike shop right across the street. It's also just a 27-minute walk to Yasaka Pagoda and only 9 minutes to the lively Pontocho area. The room was surprisingly spacious for the price which is $30usd a night, and it came with all the necessary amenities, including toiletries and cozy bathrobes. I really appreciated the little extras, like the free water, coffee, tea and microwave available outside the room. What really stood out to me was how affordable it was, especially considering the prime location. It's rare to find such a great deal in this area, and I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto. Highly recommended for budget-conscious travelers looking to be right in the heart of the city!

It's a modern hotel with nice facility, my most fave one is its location which is strategically located near the shopping street and it''s also located close to subway (Tozai line, directly at the end of the shopping street with elevator - which is really helpful as we're traveling with a big luggage) and bus stop Kyoto City Hall, plus if you need to send you luggage to other cities/airport, there is Yamato office next to the hotel.

This was my second time staying in this property, and this time I was alone. As a solo female traveller, I was a little worried and requested higher floor rooms, and the staff did comply to my requests. The staff was very pleasant, and I couldn't help them enough because I am shy. I stayed 6 nights and enjoyed the stay a lot. The best part was definitely the bathroom. The area is also so nice, with a bustling shopping area just a 5-10 minute walk. All my colleagues were jealous of my stay and even asked for the contact of this stay, which I will happily forward.
