There was an excellent variety of food at breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They loaned me an adapter for my computer. There was access to washing machines and dryers. The location was excellent, right next to a subway line and near the imperial gardens.

The hotel is very nicely decorated, and the room is really cozy and comfortable. The staff is really friendly, and the breakfast buffet choice is also amazing! Overall we had a very great honeymoon experience here!

This hotel was even nicer than I had anticipated. The rooms were clean and very quiet. We took the free shuttle service to the golden temple, which was a lovely bonus. The hotel was perfectly located, close to transport options, supermarket and places to eat. We could also easily walk to many of the local sights we wished to visit

Rooms are stunning, big surfaces, full facilities and amenities, extremely clean. The most comfortable bed (futon on tatami) we have ever had. The hotel is elegant and stylish, contemporary in traditional Japanese beautifulness. Best location in town. The terrace is the cherry on the cake offering an amazing view. Staff is very professional, kind, helpful, always smiling and offering the perfect customer care, perfectly English speaking. A true GEM in Kyoto and the perfect getaway to celebrate special journey!

Staff was really helpful and they have really good english. The room was clean and not that bad space-wise either. It was also really quiet! We were there with our 2 year old daughter and the kitchen floor also has a “play” area with some plushies and a big space, so it was great to relax there at night.

Nice comfortable room with 2 beds and nice bathroom. Close to tourist attractions as well Has private parking in front of hotel which is a plus

Very convenient location and very clean!

Location is between two tourists attractions: Nijojo and Imperial Palace. Bit of a walk from any stations and there’s no staff on site so it’s all done by you.

Clean, easy checkin, excellent location, all the supplies were nice, and laundry area was provided. Great for short or long a stays.Two toilets in the room w 4 beds. And a sitting area with room for more if needed. Close to trains.

Room is huge by Japanese standards. Sauna on the roof is fantastic. Friendly staff and great restaurant downstairs for dinner. Quiet neighborhood.

Everything! Location is great.You can walk(we love walking),catch a bus or short walk to metro.After that in just 15 to 20 min you will be next to some of the must see things in Kyoto.Every bus which leads to some of interesting things around is passing next to hotel.Next time we will rent a car so we could explore even more of countryside but this hotel will be our choice even in the future. Btw I have to mention that staff in hotel is very, very nice and that hotel is super clean.Extremly great value for money.

The staff went above and beyond to help me. I really appreciated all their efforts. The extra amenities they offered were also great. The location is fantastic, right across from Nijo Castle and easily accessible to all other tourist locations in Kyoto. The room was comfortable and clean, although the bed was a little hard for my liking. Overall, it was a terrific stay, and I would stay there again next time in Kyoto.

We loved staying at Tomoya Residence. It was a great experience. Our rooms very really spacious and nice. The staff at the hotel was amazing, very professional and friendly. We felt that all of our needs were 100% met. I would definitely book this hotel again.

The property is magnificent, the rooms spacious comfortable and beautifully decorated. The mineral spring spa is beautiful and very large. Breakfast excellent. Service impeccable
