The location, the room & some of the staff. The breakfast was good

The breakfast was truly extraordinary -12 exquisitely prepared small dishes. The rooms are impeccable and there is a nice small lounge with eclectic decor. The location is superb, just out of the tourist fray of Arishiyama and a few steps from the trail along the river bank -- go early in the morning and you will be alone enjoying the pristine forest and river.

Great location at a reasonable price and well maintained

This was one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The people were extremely friendly from walking through the door on check-in to leaving the hotel at check out. The room itself was traditional Japanese, with two attached gardens and a private Onsen. I couldn’t have asked for a more spectacular Kyoto experience.

Perfect in every way!! Definitely consider this if you wish to stay in Arashiyama. Perfect location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, etc. There’s a 24h convenience store Ministop next to Arashiyama station which is a few minutes away from the hotel. Also, the view from my room was amazing.

The women working the desk were very helpful. I wish they understood more English. Masaru-san was most helpful and and knowledgeable. The location was most convenient: near Ranzan restaurant for breakfast. Close to Togetsukyo bridge, 4 train stations. The coffee choices were excellent and oishii. The pastries were the appropriate size and oishii.

Enough basic need. Bathroom is large and clean.

- English speaking staff - 5 min walk from Emmachi Station - can leave lugagge before check-in and after check-out - has simple breakfast from 7-9am - close to restaurants for quick lunch/dinner (Yoshinoya, Coco Ichibanya, ramen) - Lawson 100 and 7eleven is close by - Vending machine in front of hotel entrance - Self checkout machine available - Big triple room

The room is nice and big everything is clean except the mini fridge it was unclean and has a mould on it .

Love this place so so much. We had wonderful stay and unforgettable experiences.

The location was ideal for walking around and exploring the area. The hotel itself—and especially the staff—were wonderful. The onsen was a highlight; we really enjoyed having several private onsens to choose from. The onsite massage services were a great bonus, and we also appreciated the on-site gift shop and yukata rentals, which allowed guests to wear yukata throughout the hotel. Our room was very comfortable, and it made for a perfect anniversary stay.

The location was wonderful, as the Airbnb was nearby the train station, restaurants and convenience stores. The room was very cozy, and the beds were super comfortable.
