Beautiful hotel right next door to Alnwick Castle. Staff so amazing and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable beds, well supplied bathrooms. A great stay in Alnwick, a beautiful gem in the north!

Words really fail me to explain how special this property was. The attention to every single detail was exquisite. I’m a professional organizer. My business is details. I’ve never seen anything like this. Everything - even the lights on the floor that automatically come on when you walk into the bathroom - was planned perfectly when this former convent was remodeled to make a sacred space for all its guests. There was even framed sheet music in the halls to, I assume, pay homage to the beautiful music that must’ve once graced the hallways. The staff was so warm and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was like something out of a Veranda magazine spread. The breakfast was delicious. At every turn in the hotel and the room itself, we were met with a delightful and unexpected experience. Who puts this much thought into a public space? The Cookie Jar does. You made our once-in-a-lifetime trip unforgettable.

Really lovely property in the centre of the village. Very well appointed and modern with a sympathetic nod to the history of the house and the area. Beautiful mosaic art on the walls. Kitchen had all the modern appliances and was a decent enough size. Beds very comfortable and bathrooms modern and clean. Location is fabulous a short 2 minute walk to the beach and amongst the small number of shops, pubs and restaurants in the village. Having said that, very quiet at night so the best of all worlds. All in all we had a great time and would definitely come back here again.

A beautiful well equipped cottage in a secluded area off the main road in Alnmouth great base for exploring the area very enjoyable stay

It was in the perfect location to enjoy so many sites around Alnmouth. Castles, pubs, beach walks, everything was there. The home was lovely with everything you could possibly need. Beautiful comfy beds… and the towels were so soft and smelled like a Spa. I can’t wait for a return visit!!
