We stayed at The Tower while attending a wedding in the area. Our request for an early check-in was accommodated with responsive communication from the owners. Upon arrival we got parked right outside the door and were made to feel very welcome by Mavis. The cosy room and en-suite shower room were spotless and tastefully decorated, the owners have put a lot of work into renovating the place. Very comfortable bed and pillows and a decent shower too. Stu made us a tasty cooked breakfast in the morning and we had a lovely conversation with him about all sorts of topics, what a lovely chap he is. Bing Crosby songs were playing in the background, and together with the snow falling outside, our breakfast felt really nostalgic and festive! When we checked out we were worried about getting stuck in the snow but a local turned up with a tractor to clear the road, you could feel the sense of community where the locals look out for one another! Stu and Mavis are a genuinely lovely and welcoming couple and we highly recommend staying at The Tower.

Comfortable, easy parking, like having WiFi, TV, and kitchen to prepare some meals. Shower is great-good water pressure and water temperature.

Margot went above and beyond to accommodate us early. The room was huge with a big comfortable bed and absolutely spotless. Breakfast was exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for more. Perfect borders hospitality - we left well rested and well fed.

It was a pleasure to stay in the property. The surroundings were luxurious and very peaceful. We enjoyed the surroundings and Sunday lunch at the nearby Black Bull.

Thirlestane Castle is a charming property that is well maintained and modern yet takes care to respect its heritage.

The apartment is very beautiful and spacious, has everything possible needed. We felt taken care of. It was winter stay and we felt like a castle belongs to us. Tranquility and beauty!

I can't praise the hotel enough. The food, staff and rooms were excellent. The room was especially well appointed and exceptionally clean.
