The staff were all wonderfully friendly and helpful with a special shout out to Sihina and Dinusha. The pool is a good size and there was plenty ty of shade and sun loungers. Food was excellent quality. Ratna the manager organized a fabulous Christmas Eve party with masses of fireworks. He organized safaris for us to Yala and to Bundala which we thoroughly enjoyed. Would stay here again. Don't miss the dusk spectacle of flying fruit bats on the opposite side of the lake.

We stayed two nights and went on a full day safari with the host Janaka. Our room was comfortable and it was so convenient to do the safari with them! The family was really friendly and we enjoyed the meals we ate there.

Wow this is not just a place to sleep but an entire experience! It is rare to come across such selfless kindness but that is what Asha and her husband provide! The home itself is beautiful and set amongst nature where you can see deer and wild peacocks roam and the bats fly at night. The room is spotless with a cute balcony and very comfortable bed. They organized the Yala safari tour for me. The local area is also beautiful so I’d recommend staying an extra few days if you can! They picked me up and dropped me off at my bus stop and as a female solo traveler I was very grateful for this. They provided me with refreshments and meals - all delicious by the way! Asha made me a top as she is a very talented seamstress. They even took me out to show me Vesak festival. I can’t explain how welcoming and friendly they are. By the end of my stay here I consider them friends! Very special people and if you have the chance to stay here then you are lucky!

Kind staff, nice quiet and tidy place, extra big beds, good food.

We had a great stay at the Lavender home! Highly recommended! They can arrange for you a great safari experience (including breakfast and lunch) or taxi recommendations. Also dinner is great.

VIEW of the paddy fields. Peacocks calling. Swaying of the Palms swaying in the fantastic breeze. Possibility of a small walk on a path between the paddy fields.

Amazing hospitality, great local tour in the village from Randy (the owner) , facilitated the safari trip for us and a car to drive us to our next destination, whenever we want anything Randy is always responsive and there to help literally in anything, and the room was so clean and cozy, would definitely come again.. highly recommended!

cool nest yala . Wonderful location with full of natural surrounding. Environment is soothing and calm. This place is healing your soul. We only ordered breakfast and it was rotti with dhal and lunu miris. We ordered tempered potato dish and it was one of the best dishes iv had. next day we drove to national park for the safari which was arrange by hotel. The Safari was great, we saw a lot of animals. The host is very professional and serious.

Little piece of heaven, what the family have done with this space is beautiful. Everyone was so friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay as memorable and easy as possible. We had dinner there, this was some of the best Sri Lankan food we’ve tried. The room itself is spacious and clean, the AC and fans are perfect - the outside fan also made it comfortable to sit outside during the evening and listen to nature. If you don’t want to eat in, there are lots of different spots nearby and near the lake.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Stay at Yala Vista Hotel and Resort We had a wonderful experience at Yala Vista Hotel and Resort. The location is peaceful and scenic, nestled near a lake and mountains, right at the edge of Yala National Park. It’s a perfect spot to relax and connect with nature. We were lucky to see crocodiles, foxes, and many unique birds during our stay — truly a paradise for wildlife lovers. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. A big thank you to Rasun, the owner, and the entire staff for their warm hospitality. We’re so grateful and can’t wait to come back!

This probably is my fourth stay and I am back at work after a while. The property is completely revamped by the owner. The rooms now have brand new quiet air conditioners, sparkling clean and the washroom is also super clean with hot water. This place is situated conviniently at the visinities of Yala so If anyone intend to visit the National Park of Yala, this is the place to stay. The breakfast was great with typical Sri Lankan style curry and bread. The owner of the property is very friendly and he is keen on helping the guests who stay at the place. This will be my place to stay when I work at Yala.

The place is fantastic, it's so serene and tranquil! And the hosts are absolutely amazing, and made us feel we are home all the time. And the food they cooked is DELICIOUS!! If you want your mind recharged, you must stay here for a couple of days. The place is spotless!
