Wow! This was such a special place to have found. It really gets you into the mountains, with a beautiful 100m walk up into the summit of a gorgeous viewpoint. (Sunrise and Sunset). The privacy was unmatched and was perfect for a couple to enjoy the beauty. The cabin is very good quality and extremely cozy for those Ella nights. Lakshan, is one of the kindest hosts you could possibly ask for! He arranged a bike for us, amazing rain gear, and also offered tuktuk rides whenever we needed them. Breakfast was wonderful and delicious every morning (whatever time you request). We stayed for 4 days but wish it could have been longer. For sure coming back! With Love, Alba and Justin

Wonderful location with extremely clean and cute facilities managed by a really friendly family that makes you feel like being home all the time. They spoil you, they take good care of you and they make your stay unforgettable. We were there during New Year’s Eve and we even got a special breakfast with Sri Lankan traditional dishes for new year.

I recently stayed at Hive, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best hostels I’ve experienced in my travels. The atmosphere was incredibly social and welcoming everyone was so friendly, and there were activities every night that brought people together. A special thanks to Gehan, who was super helpful with all the information I needed. Funny enough, visiting Ella wasn’t even in my original plan I came here on a friend’s recommendation but it turned out to be one of the best decisions of my Sri Lanka trip. Another highlight was meeting Alex, who made the evenings extra special with fun games and a family dinner outing. Most of the games were completely new to me, which made it even more exciting to learn and join in. Everything about Hive Hostel was warm, fun, and memorable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ella, and I’m already looking forward to going back soon!

The place is amazing. The cottage has a lovely pool which is super nice after a long day or just spend the day there and rest. The rooms are bigger than mentioned and there is a fridge as well. The staff is extremely nice ans helpful, they can help with transportation to the center and back to the hotel if you wish. They also welcomed us with a kind message and congratulated us for our wedding anniversary, which was very thoughtful 😊

Stay date : Feb 12 to Feb 14th We arrived here pretty late check in time . But bunty welcomed us with nice tea and coffee .🙏🏼 Kingdom of Ella is an amazing home stay hosted by Rasik and his wife Bunty , a very hardworking family with 2 beautiful kids . Hosts ,stay and food it's just perfect. Hosts are just like a family. Rooms are super clean. We enjoyed a really good time with hosts at the terrace and did stargazing too . Breakfast was perfect. Location is just amazing if you want something offbeat stay.. surrounded by lots of trees and greens . Mornings are just beautiful and peaceful here .
