What a wonderfully comfortable, spacious, organised and appointed apartment.
From the excellent communication before we arrived, to the gracious welcome, to the support and advice given throughout our stay, to the warm farewell - everything exceeded our expectations.
The unit has all you need to feel quite at home. It was spotlessly clean, a wonderful breeze keep the place cool and there is plenty of natural light.
Location allows for easy access to the train station and easy walking to discover the local community and everything around.
Then to add to this the host family were amazing, they gave us our space and privacy yet were always accessible to offer advice and share a warm smile.
We do look forward to returning.

United KingdomWe spent a wonderful night on the lovely houseboat. It was a very special experience and the hosts were so helpful, they assisted with our airport transfers and made everything easy. The freshly cooked food was perfect, my friend is vegan and they catered beautifully for her. We arrived to a meal, then several hours cruising the backwaters, stopping off at a massage place on the way. They docked in a very quiet area away from other houseboats to sleep, which was great as the others can be quite loud. On the day after they threw in a sunrise canoe trip down the narrow canals of the backwaters for us. I would recommend this company to all!

From there, it was easy to arrive at the jetty for the government daily tour around all the backwaters, which was a most reasonable price and a really wonderful experience.

Best place to stay in Alleppey! It’s a fantastic homestay , very clean and relaxing and the hosts are very helpful and friendly! They recommended a canoe tour to see the backwaters which was a spectacular experience! Highly recommend staying at Bella Homestay :)

The property is wonderfully placed and is located right on the backwaters, making for a very picturesque location. Jiby is also a fantastic host and helped organise our day (from arranging transportation to having a backwater tour set up). We were also provided with breakfast even though it wasn’t a part of our package. Would easily recommend this to anyone looking for a wonderful and quaint place to stay.

The rooms are clean and spacious and the host was absolutely lovely. She provided a delicious breakfast, hooked us up with a local boat tour and accompanying rikshaw ride. The location is also great. In a couple minutes you can reach the beach and the city center.

Everything! It was our favourite place to stay in the whole of our month travels in India. The location, vibe & room was perfect and Daniella, Rashi & Jackson are the most wonderful hosts and an absolute joy to chat to and be around. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful! We had a lovely stay at this homestay. Thomas and his family are very good hosts, very helpful, will give you tips on local area and set you up for any excursions you may need. The room is very good. Everything is new, bed is comfortable, great shower. Balcony is good size to sit on, can see the sea from it. We booked one night and ended up staying 3 more nights. Location is very close to beach, 1 min walk. 100 rp tuk tuk ride into town. Great value. Couple nice restaurants within walking distance.

This was one of our favourite places to stay in India! It was just magical to sit on the outside and watch the boats go past in such a beautiful location. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had a boat pick us up from right outside the accommodation as well as a great Ayurvedic massage on site. Thank you!

If you are in Allepey then Abru’s is the place to stay. Well-appointed, comfortable rooms in a great location. Jibu, the host, is unbelievably friendly and will look after you very well, providing anything that you may need. He may even show you around the villages or to some secret spots, if you are lucky! Without a doubt the loveliest host I have had in India!
