Places to Stay in Dazaifu

The shuttle bus is very useful. The hot spring and the restaurant is awesome!

The owner was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The property was beautifully maintained. The owner even wrote a sweet message on a small whiteboard with my name, which was such a thoughtful and friendly gesture. The owner was generous enough to offer three bicycles for us to use and made sure the fridge was stocked with plenty of water bottles. He truly took wonderful care of my family!

This guesthouse is a little hard to find at first, and it does not help that there is no sign outside saying "Serene Highness"; however, it is only a five-minute walk from Nishitetsu Gojō Station. The guesthouse is actually an old building with an unappealing exterior, but inside, in my room, it is spotlessly clean and equipped with many amenities. The room was neither huge nor small. In my opinion, its size is good. As for the location, from Nishitetsu Gojō Station, it takes five minutes by train (one stop) to Dazaifu. It takes five minutes (one stop) to Futsukaichi Station. From Futsukaichi Station it takes 15 minutes by train to get to Tenjin Station or Hakata Station, which are at the city center and connected to Fukuoka Airport. I consider the location to be very convenient. In addition, it is worth noting that the area is quiet, with no tourists. Though there are no restaurants near the guesthouse, only Lawson, you can easily reach Dazaifu, Futsukaichi and even Tenjin, where there are many restaurants (and even a supermarket in Futsukaichi). I recommend staying at this guesthouse.
