Places to Stay in Ueda

Property was efficient and tidy. The staff were all helpful and friendly. The location is very convenient to Ueda Station

The staff provided truly excellent service. I don't speak Japanese, which made dealing with government offices and finding directions quite difficult, they always showed great patience. They went out of their way to offer me thorough assistance with all my problems.

Lovely business hotel with no frills but great value for money.

Great guesthouse, about 10min from Ueda station and 15min from the castle ruins. The entrance is through the bar/cafe, there is a common room open until 11pm. The staff was super nice. We stayed in a dormitory. The beds are good, but the room is small, it was really difficult to organise ourselves with the door closed.

The breakfast is delicious, we liked it very much. Like homemade

We liked the convenience of the elevators and large room size. The indoor and outdoor baths were very nice and we really enjoyed all of the options for hair and body washes, masks, and special creams. We especially liked the big outdoor bath with waterfall and wisteria vines: so glad we went to the baths several times as they change gender at cleaning time.

The host is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The area is charming, and historic. There are a lot of historic sites to see in the surrounding area, and many great onsens. I’d love to come back.

We loved how spacious the house was, and the style was very comfortable. You could fit many people in the house so it would be good for even a larger group than we were. The shower/bath, and other amenities were all very pleasant.

The staff were really kind and looked after us very well! The onsen was perfect! The place was perfectly clean! Beautiful river right next to the cottage.
