AustraliaThis was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at - from the hospitable welcome, the myriad of amenities (free welcome hot bev, udon noodles post-onsen, incredible rooftop onsen with great views, free ice cream and Yakult post-bath), cute and clean rooms, the ease of doing laundry within the women's locker change rooms etc. The buffet breakfast was super delicious and we just really enjoyed our time and experience here we wanted to stay in the whole time. HIGHLY recommend staying here if you're in Matsumoto.

United StatesEverything. This is a new hotel, and considering they have only been open for one month, they excelled in every possible way. The rooms are wonderfully spacious, with kitchenettes and even a washing machine. The hotel also has a free shuttle service to pick you up from the station, and get you to the slopes. For skiing, the hotel is perfect. The ski rental, Spicy Rentals, is next door, and the hotel has lockers to keep your equipment. But, perhaps, best of all, there is the restaurant. Incredible French style cooking with Japanese elements. The chef is very creative, and the Maitre D, Mr. Yoshida, was gracious and extremely professional. Their tasting menu is 7 to 8 courses, perfectly cooked and so creatively presented! My wife and I love this hotel!

Beyond this the location is phenomenal right in the middle of town close to food and the slopes. Opposite the accomadation is the free bus shuttle to the other slopes!

Great place to stay in Hakuba, plenty of space for a couple! Loved the location, the use of a car, comfortable beds. I was worried it might be a little cold, however the hut stayed warm our entire stay. We will be back 😊

A great place to stay with very comfy large double beds. Slept well every night !
The location is fabulous with an easy ski-in ski-out to the lifts right from the side door.
Great menu at the bar as well and some fun cocktails.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay great.
Good roster also for pickups and drop offs at night to the Hakuba area for restaurants/bars.

Great location, super comfy beds and spacious. We were a group of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids) and it was the perfect size, plus handy to have 3 bathrooms for the number of people staying in the apartment. Stephen & his wife were helpful with booking restaurants, giving us advice about Hakuba ski resorts and arranging our luggage transfer to Tokyo. We joined in the pizza night at their Lodge which was really nice and looked to also be a lovely place to stay.

Fantastic place to stay while in Hakuba. Andy and Sanoe were so welcoming and helpful. Provided pickup from the station and helped with ski hire. They provided great advice for where to go skiing and eating/drinking. The room was clean, comfortable and cosy. We liked the bed and breakfast style and the location was perfect. Close to bus stops and good restaurants and cafes.

Location was amazing! It was an easy walk to the walking carpet to get to the gondola and all the restaurants downtown. The private bath was perfect after a long day of skiing. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was amazing.

Koji and Chikako were fantastic hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The Guest House was perfect as a cosy place to stay while skiing (including the onsens) and ideal location to access all of the different resorts in Hakuba. It was walking distance to lots of good places to eat and drink and Koji and Chikako also made restaurant bookings for us.

A really beautiful place to stay, both the location and the building. The communal areas are inviting and there was a lovely sense of homeliness and community. It was lovely to have a hot chocolate and sit and relax near the stove after a long walk. The food was delicious especially the homemade plum wine. Our hosts were very friendly and spoke good English. I would highly recommend staying here. I hope to return sometime.

I've stayed in a lot of different ski accommodation! This one is by far the best! The crew is second to none, such a nice gang of friendly and caring people! The shuttles to the ski resorts and free shuttles to the Onsen made it the perfect place to stay! Breakfast was perfect as well! Immaculate vibes! Will be back!

Amazing stay! The Ski Inn Hakuba is the perfect place to stay on Tsugaike. We had five people in a twin room and it had ample space for the futon bed in the second bedroom. Staff were great and the coffee is the best in Hakuba. Location is perfect half way up the beginner slope.
