Amazing, kind and always helpfull staff specially Anna :), great activities options, different launch options. Room was also magnificent and huge.

The personal is very friendly

ALL staff are absolutely delightful. Everyone made us truly welcome. Our room was spacious and clean. The Village and Reef Walk with James was really interesting and so worthwhile. The bar staff and chefs at the Beach Bar were great fun and the waitress and waiters in the restaurant were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, for anyone. The location was perfect, quiet and relaxing. A few local restaurants around the beach, we tried as many as possible, some in the village itself. Try them, Google maps will give locations, they may look quiet but every one we tried, the people were super friendly and interested in where you come from etc, food takes a little while, but everything is cooked to order. There are a few beach boys about but they are generally friendly.

We were upgraded to a premium room which had a terrific view of the beach & ocean and a large balcony with lounge chairs. Our room was spacious with a comfortable large bed. The bathroom was a good size with 2 sinks. There were plenty of towels, both for the bath and the beach. We also greatly enjoyed the swimming pool. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The co-owner and manager kindly assisted us with booking a snorkel trip.

Zoi Retreat Hotel is a hidden gem. My stay was nothing but WONDERFUL. The staff is amazing: warm, welcoming, and very attentive. From the moment I arrived, I felt cared for and at home. The room was beautifully decorated, very clean, and extremely comfortable, with thoughtful details throughout. The AC worked perfectly, the bed was great, and everything you need is provided. Parking felt safe, there was always electricity (even during local outages), and the Wi-Fi was consistently strong. I was able to monitor my emails easily and stay connected at all times. The beachfront setting is stunning, with umbrellas, lovely views, and the most peaceful sunrises. The pool is amazing, and the entire property feels cozy, serene, and private. Perfect for relaxing away from the crowds. The food tasted amazing and was clearly made with high-quality ingredients; the chef is excellent. The cocktails were great, and I got a massage that was incredible, I highly recommend you book one during your stay, you leave feeling like a new person. Later during my stay, the security team really stood out, they assisted me with a flat tire, which I appreciated. I drove to several other beaches around the island, but Matemwe felt more special and peaceful every time I came back. Zoi Retreat made the experience unforgettable and very special. I would return without hesitation and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Zanzibar.

The best place for relaxation in Matemwe, The staff were very welcoming and supportive specially the reception manager Mr Rashid Khamis, he made our stay perfect. The delicious breakfast experience on the infinity pool is unforgettable. Rooms were clean and neat and had large spaces with a breath taking view for the palms on the ocean. Rooms were almost separate and private with a lot of green areas around where we could see small antelopes and squirrels and they were very shy and cute. It was safe to stay there and walk around before night. At night it is dark and we needed guidance from locals and they were kind and supportive. Food and drinks: The breakfast was fabulous set menu with a lot of items and juices and fruits and the staff at breakfast are amazing. Lunch or dinner weren't the same level of breakfast but were good.

Villa Unaweza wasn't just a place to stay, it was an experience. It was a home away from home, filled with impeccable hospitality, thoughtful touches(surprised me with the best cake on my birthday), and unforgettable moments. If you're seeking a slice of paradise with a side of genuine human connection, look no further. Sylvia, Aga, Fau, Fridah, Felix and Denge made me feel truly welcomed and cared for.Also... if you're looking for some pampering, do not miss the massage and body scrub...it was the most blissfully indulgent hour of my entire trip!

We loved the experience of staying in a boutique hotel - it truly felt like home after a few days! You leave your room and you reach the pool, the beach, and the restaurant in less than a minute. The rooms are comfy, clean, and nicely decorated. The pool is quite small, but serves the purpose. The location is ideal for a holiday by the sea, whereas all major day trips require at least a 75-minute drive from the hotel. On the other hand, Mnemba Island is just opposite the hotel. The staff are nice and always ready to offer a smile!

It is in front of the beach ⛱️ 😎lot of sunbeds ,shadows, and trees, very clean. Good for rest. The food was very good. all employees were willing to help with any problem or question. Great place to stay.

The gardens are an oasis of tranquility and the perfect backdrop to morning yoga with Maria. Delicious food. Short walk to a quiet beach but you'll find it hard to leave. Perfect hosts, perfect stay.
