The family who owns the house welcomed us personally and explained everything we needed to know. Such kind and lovely people! :) The house is spacious yet cozy, equipped with everything you could possibly need — and even more. It’s one of those rare cases where reality is better than the photos! We felt at home from the very first moment. The large pool and lush garden made our stay even more unforgettable. Located in a peaceful area, the house offers easy access to hiking trails, historic landmarks, restaurants, and supermarkets.

The property immediately stands out as eclectic, large and comfortable. There were six of us and one baby and we had plenty of room. This property, like most we find in Europe, is not for those with limited mobility, however there is a full apartment downstairs on the first or ‘zero’ floor. We prepared most of our meals there and again enjoyed the large amount of space to move around. We enjoyed our morning walks for coffee and treats at a local cafe just up from the bus station, before getting ready and going into town. The property is very conveniently located with a short 10 minute walk into town and the Basilica. The walk into town is all incline, but you are rewarded with a gentle downhill stroll back home after a long day of sightseeing. We have been to Escorial many times and really enjoyed the convenience of not having to drive anywhere once parked at the house. We had a large van that did not really fit through the property gate, but found ample parking just outside on the curb. A standard sized vehicle will fit in the large courtyard for easy loading. All in all, we had another wonderful time in Escorial, and the property was a part of that.

Excellent location, large house, recently refurbished, with all imaginable amenities. Having a barbeque in the garden under the sun set light is highly advisable :). We have rented the house for a group of twelve (can easily accommodate 14) and it was the best decision we could make regarding our stay in Madrid. Location is (rather conveniently) 50km or so from Madrid outskirts, but the village, the proximity of El Escorial and the hilly/mountainous area combine to offer the perfect retreat for a short break. Above all, Julian, the host, is an admirable gentleman. Thank you!

The house was very comfortable for a group of twelve, from the number of bathrooms to the large table to eat together. Having a dishwasher and washing and dryer machines came very handy. The space outside was beautiful, with gorgeous views. The host (Casi) went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. He treated us with homemade sheep cheese, showed us the donkeys, and allowed the kids to feed a lamb. A place to return!
