Fantastic view. We immediately relaxed and spent some time just watching the world slowly go by. It was great to be able to go for a walk to the town as we were so close. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I would be very happy to come again.

Well located in San Remo and easy drive to the jetty and into Cowes. The whole resort was well lit at night and comfortable to go around. Nominated parking lots are the best.

Great place to stay while visiting the island as it has everything you need.
We were there in winter, so there were not many tourists which was perfect for us! I think Phillip Island probably gets overrun in the popular months.

lovely walking trail along kay street and toward morwell. Shops easy to get too with a lot of variety and easy parking. Can get busy when major sporting event on. Indoor pool facilities are fantastic.
LOts of good spots to eat - pubs, RSL is great, good sushi bar in town, ripper gluten free fish and chips
day trips to the mountains behind and hills - places such as noojee with old rail bridge (full day trip from here), walhalla ghost town (full day trip); can look at the power stations from outside only to see coal generated - view open cut from above on hill.
visit to Yallourn north to learn history of the area and about the actual town of yallourn which has been dug up for coal

Lakes Entrance is a great spot and if we had the time we could have stayed three nights, but we have said that in a lot of places. Time and money are the limiting factors. If we stayed longer we would have booked earlier and found more luxurious accommodation. Pity the Seashell Museum was closed - it seems a common fault in Victoria in August! We may have chosen Metung if staying longer - it is such a nice spot. Dinner at Off the Wharf on Bullock Island was probably not up to expectations - ok, but not exceptional for what we ordered, and the price.

For a summer stay, no need to say anything - perfect. But in Winter, this place is truly lovely, without the crowds.
Friendly folks and so much to see & do. We discovered Loch - gorgeous little nook - great coffee and Bagpipes being played on Saturday morning.

Sale is a lovely town, not crowded with tourists and offers wonderful walks through the extensively restored Wetlands - teaming with birdlife and varied vegetation. The wild 90-Mile Beach is only a 40 minute drive away. The Botanical Gardens are also a delight, while the Sale Art Gallery, while not extensive, has a varied and high-quality collection of works by Gippsland artists.

Paynesville is a beautiful township by the water with plenty of good variety of eating places. It's well worth taking a water taxi ride to Raymond Island (no vehicle needed) to check out the koalas. A beautiful tranquil place. We saw 7 koalas.

Warragul is a practical town with all the big brands...
Warragul is a practical town with all the big brands available. It also is closely located to nearby forests and mountains, upper reaches of the Yarra Valley, Lake Mountain for fun in the snow and Mt Baw Baw for skiing. Close access to M1 freeway to East Gippsland. Warragul people are down to earth working people traditionally. Yet the range of restaurants attract hospitality workers from diverse ages and backgrounds of course.

Love Bairnsdale ….. beautiful town and environs ….. clean, historical architecture, shop options and dining are many and varied ….. locality to waterways both coastal and inland are good, close to the high country !! Only negative would be what seems to be endless traffic on the highway which runs through the town !!

Metung is about half an hour to drive to the other main towns for restuarants and other tourist attractions, etc. There are lots of great restaurants in Lakes Entrance - including Sodafish. Highly recommend visiting Raymond Island near Paynesville too.
