"Hobart is a great place to visit for a weekend or longer. The city is clean with fresh mountain air and lots of great places to walk. I did the Cascade Walk just 5km from the city and saw lots of wallabies. Sandy Bay is one of my favorite parts of Hobart to visit with lots of great eateries. I can highly recommend the Sandy Bay Bakery for delicious sandwiches, cakes, and coffee at affordable prices. Driving around town is pretty easy - traffic is generally light - just watch the one way streets - and lots of cameras on the road to the airport. If you want to get away and chill then I highly recommend a trip to Hobart :)"

"We stayed for 2 nights about 5 days ago. I took a quick survey but didn't leave any comments but now I am home, I would like to say what a wonderful hostess Simone was. She went out of her way to make us feel very welcomed. She helped with my washing, and supplied a lovely homemade muselie. I had also left something behind in which she phoned me immediately. Thank for Simone for a wonderful stay."

"I used my room at the kingston Hotel as my base as I was touring around the local area. It was in a prime spot, if you enjoy shopping this is the spot for you, for me it was all about travelling around. The room was very comfortable and very clean. Also so quiet, I was very surprised by this. The restaurant the staff was lovely and the food fantastic. Very family friendly with an area just for kids to have fun. Totally enjoyed out stay there and will be returning very soon."

We felt so at home during our six nights at Best Western. All our expectations for a comfortable and memorable stay were met. The room was clean and well-equipped. The hotel even provided a complimentary packet of fresh milk for guests to make tea and coffee in the room! The service including housekeeping was top-notch. It’s conveniently located near the CBD and not far from the waterfront. The Farm Gate Market on Sundays is only a five-minute walk away. And the pricing was reasonable.

I love Hobart, so much so that I moved here.

I love Hobart, so much so that I moved here. Small enough to walk around and big enough to be engaging. The people are friendly and the climate is much better than people usually expect. You can be in the city, up the mountain, in the bush, or at the beach all within a 10 minute drive.

The bed was comfortable, the attuned of the desk staff was poor. The price was way over priced for the location. The view was of rubbish bins that they kept filling till late at night with bottles. Don't wast your money staying there get something in a better location!

Loved the local shops - one at Opossum Bay the other at STH Arm. All the basics and some good take aways. Beaches and beach walks with plenty of space and not too many people Lots to do locally - Touch of the Mo cafe at STH Arm, the labyrinth on Potters Hill, kayaking surfing and swimming Monthly market (on the first Sunday of every month) with retro clothes, local food Street book libraries in case you forgot a book Hair dresser for a bit of pampering Lots of things in walking distance and a couple of buses daily for trips to Hobart

We arrived after a long drive from the west. Laurelle met us with the keys, showed us around at this splendid location ,The rooms were spacious and a great place to unwind, clean tidy and airy. We highly recommend The Woodbridge, great place, nice owner, now rested off we go again

Kingston Hotel had extremely large rooms and was on the opposite block to Coles supermarket and other shops. The rooms were separate from the hotel which enabled a very quiet sleep. Shiploads and Chemist etc were just outside the door approx 50m an easy walk. Didn't get a chance to see anything else.

The view was fantastic, and made the stay a real adventure. We drove down again from our cabin to shops to get breakfast for the next mroning, and we were easily able to get excellent food. Our son visited from South Arm, and brought us pizza for dinner. However, the drive up to the cabin is over steep, uneven gravel roads, and it requires experience with this type of driving.

Staying where we did at the Henry Art Hotel made it easy to visit several places of interest in the city area such as Mona - easy ferry ride from the wharf, Cascade Brewery, Cascades Female Factory - easy unber ride away and the city centre itself plus Salamanca markets. Plus the delicious seafood of course. Eat the fresh fish from our great Southern waters as much as you can!
