The room and shower is small, but the price is even smaller taking into consideration the value you get. Highly recommended, if you looking for an enjoyable place within a tight budget.

I usually don’t write reviews for hotels, but this experience truly deserves recognition. Yannick went above and beyond in every possible way. From the moment we arrived, he was exceptionally warm, kind, and friendly—so much so that it felt like he already knew us. His hospitality made us feel instantly at home.
What stood out most was his patience and attentiveness. I had many questions throughout our stay, and he always responded with a smile and clear, thoughtful explanations. His professionalism and kindness made a real difference.
I also want to mention how welcoming the owner was. I had previously stayed here last year without my mother, and the staff were already very friendly and accommodating. However, during this recent visit—with my mother, who wears a hijab—I was genuinely touched to find that they were even more welcoming and respectful. I had some initial concerns that we might feel out of place, but instead, we were treated with the utmost kindness and warmth. It was a beautiful and reassuring experience that made us feel truly seen and respected.
I’m very grateful and would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking a welcoming and thoughtful environment.

The hotel offered a comfortable stay with great Chinese food and awe-inspiring panorama of Lake Thun and Mt. Niesen (the pyramid mountain) among others and we were lucky enough to see an amazing complete rainbow bridge over the forest. The host team was also kind and helpful. We highly recommend the hotel to any travellers especially families.

A beautiful lakeside town with a scenic backdrop of...
A beautiful lakeside town with a scenic backdrop of snowcapped mountains. Well serviced by Rail, bus and boat. A very clean city, with a good choice of bars, shops and scenic walks. There are many routes up to the Church that commands the landscape, or you can walk along the river and sit and watch the world go by.
Bern is 20 mins away by rail in one direction and the Jungfrau region 20 mins away in the other.
Also, the local residents we found to be warm, friendly and right proud people - we have a lot of love for Thun - A beautiful place to stay and visit. And their football team are good too !!

An Amazing view with best panoramic view of the lake and mountains. Plus bonus view of the dears grassing in the early hours. The chalet have everything you need at top quality. Do not miss the nearby easy hike with wonderful views of the woods, fields and lake. It’s an experience to treasure. The chalet is Easy accessible and near all what you need . Recommend to visit a newly established Hindu Ashram Padmalaya (www.padmalaya.ch), amazing energy, people full of heart, stunning view to the lake and inner dive to get to know oneself a bit better. Must go!

The hotel is in the most perfect location for a fantastic view of Lake Thun and the mountains surrounding it. All the staff are extremely friendly and spoke good English. A very traditional Swiss hotel with balconies to many of the rooms. I highly recommend this hotel.

The location, the hotel staff, the spa facilities, the...
The location, the hotel staff, the spa facilities, the wonderful spa treatments, the delicious food and excellent waiters and waitresses,
the ease of transport by bus or boat (free bus ticket provided plus discounts on activities in the area)..... the list goes on and on.
Most importantly we came home relaxed and rejuvenated from this lovely experience.

Gunten is the perfect location from which one can do very many adventurous day trips, on the lake by ship, or with public transport or personal car.
The city of Thun is gorgeous, Interlaken and Spiez, as well as Brienz and Iseltwald are near! The castles of Oberhofen, Thun, Hünegg, Schadau, Spiez, etc are nearby and well worth a visit!
The Beatus Caves are also close by!
Or if you prefer the mountains… The Niederhorn is easily accessible, so is the NIesen; it’s not far to Grindelwald, the Top of Europe, the First, kleine Scheidegg, etc. Then there is Wengen, Lauterbrunnen, the Schilthorn (007), etc etc
Very close to the Park Hotel is Sigriswil with it‘s breathtaking views from the Panoramabridge (320m long, 182 m high).
For the lovers of the series „Crashlanding on you“, many locations where scenes were filmed are also very easy accessible!

Thun is a nice city.
Thun is a nice city. Very easy to walk around and small shops that are nice. We were there in December which was chilly and blue/grey, but the Christmas market was cheerful and bright. We took day trips to Bern, Speiz, Schilthorn, and Interlaken and always appreciated coming back to this quieter town. In the summer it would be interesting to enjoy the lake and all the activities offered.

Sigriswil is the place locals go to.
Sigriswil is the place locals go to. In other words, not a tourist trap. Perfect view of the lake of Thun, Eiger North face, Monch, and Jungfrau mountains. Everything within walking distance, and the public transport is awesome. Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall... this place has it all.

Oberhofen is fantastically located, especially for a hiking holiday – it is a quiet, charming village with excellent boat and bus connections to Thun and Interlaken. There are several very nice restaurants and bars, some right on the lake with magnificent views.

Lovely lake side location.
Lovely lake side location. Very quiet and peaceful but 8 year old granddaughter felt very comfortable with lots to do. Staff very helpful with our travel party of 2 seniors, 2 adults , 8 year old and 6 month old. Local bus service outside the door to Thun and Interlaken made it easy to get around…also complimentary bus tickets available from the hotel. Very small rocky beach but still managed to get some lake swimming in. Grandaughter loved looking for sea glass. Restaurant good with lots of choices. Loved sitting outside with the lake and mountains all around.
