Our stay at AlpinaRos was lovely, such an amazing view from outside the room and breakfast area. The staff were incredible. We didn't realise the room didn't have a fridge but we were able to keep our small cold goods at the front desk fridge. The breakfast was superb, best breakfast we had during our one month holiday in Europe. Parking was great for our rental car, and short walk to the main area of town. The view was just sublime. Room was comfy, slight dated but totally fine. Really welcoming staff and we appreciate the high level of kindness and support.

I like Bad Reichenhall, It is a very cozy and picturesque place. Even if there weren't so many tourists oriented points around, I'd be getting pleasure just walking through this town. I like the Avalon hotel: its kind stuff, its cozy cafe on the ground floor, its warm atmosphere, and many, many other small things that leave a very pleasant impression. I'd especially express my thanks for disconnecting the rain detector from the marquis management system. This year, I had a chance to have a cigarette looking at the beautiful mountain view sitting on the balcony while it was raining..

The hotel is in Freilassing, but is convenient to Salzburg by local bus. It has many outdoor seating areas, as well as an indoor lounge which guests can enjoy. The rooms are well appointed and have good storage. There is a beautiful outdoor eating area with friendly service and outstanding meals. The breakfast room is amazing with many options and the attention to detail in presentation is one of the best we have seen in our travels in Germany. Laundry service is available on request. The hosts and staff are friendly and guests are treated as an extension of their family. Thank you for a very special and memorable stay! We will be back.

Although we didn't utilize this service, they provide you with bus passes to get around town in - which is a nice perk! For active recreation during the summer months I can hardly...

For active recreation during the summer months I can hardly imagine any better place. The city lies inbetween mountains, so you can start yout hike right away from the apartment, but if you have a further peak in mind, it is also well connected enough with public transport. Also we have got a guest card at the hotel, so we could move inside Berchtesgadener Land free of chsrge. There are multiple excellent via ferrata routes nearby, which makes it a great choice if you are a fan of this sport. The city itself is also beatiful with rich history, and nice old town and cozy restaurants. I would deffinitely recommend and return at a later time (Coming for you, Watzmann!)

Beautiful spa park, wonderful pedestrian zone in the center with mini water canals and a fountain. Clean and pleasant. If you use the P+R parking lot, don't forget to bring a parking sticker, otherwise you will get a 20 euro fine.

Located to close to Konigsee lake, Wimbachklamm gorge, Kehlsteinhaus, Salzburg and Bechtesgaden, Ramsau is an excellent location to explore the area. It is well suited for families with kids and couples.

We spent 3 nights here to visit Berchestgaden and Konigsee...

We spent 3 nights here to visit Berchestgaden and Konigsee lake. We managed all of those things, including a boat ride on the lake to the church which was well worth it. Although I can imagine in the summer would be a bit overwhelmingly busy. We visited the Documentation Centre about the 2nd world war. It is presented very well, I feel everyone should see something like this so we can appreciate the freedom we have and try to live more peacefully. The Rossfeld panoramic drive was amazing with great views. A beautiful walk through the Marchenpfad forest with lovely wood carvings all the way through was very calming and relaxing. I wish we'd had more time to do more walks in the local area and maybe factor in a bit of relaxation time just looking at the mountains.

Very overpriced hotel.

Very overpriced hotel. Rooms haven’t been renovated in centuries. Very small pool and cold water. The staff were not very friendly. Breakfast is not so bad but not enough for 200€ night. The average age of clients was 80 years old. Worst hotel I have ever been.

Bad Reichenhall is lovely situated, not far from Berchtesgaden. You have a great mixture of nature and culture. The little city has nice boutiques, many restaurants and café. The Kurgarten is great to walk and sit in. What I recommend is its cinema from the turn of the century.
