The hotel is in excellent condition. The staff all helpful and attentive. Good breakfasts, assisted by the lovely Fatima, and we ate in the restaurant on both evenings. Very good food and Diego is always there when needed. A well-run establishment!

We were driving from the south of Spain to the north along the coast and decided to stay overnight at this hotel. And without exaggeration, we can say that this hotel exceeded all our expectations. I would even say that this is the best place out of 10 that we stayed at along our route (and this included 4-star hotels). The hotel is new, the interior is modern - it looks great and all the facilities work perfectly. There is a swimming pool on the roof (it was not the season yet, but they were already preparing it), and a gym downstairs. And most importantly, right in front of the hotel is a small cozy beach (20 meters, really). Our room had a wonderful view of it. Extremely friendly staff, quite a decent "breakfast", a cafe that is always open. At the same time, the room was quiet and very comfortable (but keep in mind that we were there in April). This is the only hotel on our route where we wanted to stay for a few days (it's a shame that we had to move on). Thanks again to the staff for the warm welcome!

We stayed at Mediterraneo Bay for the third time in May -25, and we will be coming back again because we can't get enough of this excellent hotel. The price is very reasonable, especially in spring and fall The room is spacious and has a nice design. Our kids love the huge pool area, and the meals are delicious and with a huge variety of different dishes to all tastes. What more can one want from a place like this?

Everything! This is a very special place and would definitely return. Massage with Maria Angel excellent, amazing breakfast served on our terrace every morning (worth every penny of the extra cost). Gorgeous pool and views. A short drive to Agua Amarga for beach and restaurants, but delight to return to after. Eclectic furnishings, large fully stocked kitchen, robes and wonderful long Arabic shirts for the pool.

This was our second stay at the hotel, and I've booked to come again with 6 friends in September. The biggest surprise was the refurbished swimming pool (although it was a bit chilly in early May). Cleanliness, friendliness of the staff, food and general comfort were all excellent. We also love that it's adults only.

It's an absolutely fantastic hotel, first of all very new and spotlessly clean, the outdoor pools are beautiful, the covered pool is wonderful and nice and warm. The food is very good, it's a very, very good hotel in terms of price-performance ratio, we will definitely come again if we are ever in the area.

The surrounding area was nice, clean and very quiet.

The surrounding area was nice, clean and very quiet. You could find free parking spaces without a problem, maybe because there were only old people coming with the buses and not many visitors coming with their own cars. I don’t want to sound rude or mean because we will all get old one day but all those old people made me feel sad and lonely, like I was in a forgotten place at the end of my life. There were greenhouses everywhere, (called: the plastic sea) and the streets seemed like labyrinths. I was there for work and didn’t have much time to visit the city but we went to eat at a restaurant called RAKU and I was impressed. The food was amazing and the service was great. This is the only thing I liked in that place and which I would totally recommend.

The L30 bus only costs just over a Euro connecting the centre and airport so saves money compared to transport alternatives. Public transport (Alsa bus) to Mojacar is limited. I had to catch the 9am (the next one being at lunchtime) and return on the last one at 16.50. The bus station is outside the main town so catch the local bus (L1 or L2) for a Euro or so), otherwise walk in the sun for 20 to 30 minutes(?) Almeria is a good alternative to resorts on the Costal del Sol etc. being quieter but still has plenty of bars and restaurant as well as the magnificent Alcazaba. Sadly the Civil war shelters are still closed for renovation.

Loved the fact that Aguadulce is so different to many other places .Still has very Spanish feel to it .Plenty of small bars and coffee bars around .Not the best place for people with walking difficulties as it’s quite hilly. Not a good place for teenagers as not much night life .lovely scenery and great for walkers. Also for people who like a quiet and relaxing holiday .

The hotel is well located-- just a 3-minute walk from restaurants and the beach. A quiet location, perfect for both solo travellers and families. The breakfast was varied, and we loved the bonus of complimentary tea time from 5-6. On our last night, we ate on the beach at an Italian called Vesuvius- excellent pizza and pasta. San José is an easy location to drive to nearby sights

Carboneras is an attractive seaside town and remains very Spanish, unlike the Costas. It is easy to find your way around. It is peaceful and relaxing and the locals are extremely friendly. They have a small local market every Thursday which is perfect for buying quality fresh fruit and vegetables. The restaurants along the promenade are excellent and offer great fish and seafood dishes. Juan Mariano Beachfront Restaurant is where the locals eat and is amazing, but make sure to book. However if your preference is meat then there are some fabulous places like Asador Restaurante La Quesería and Asador Ajo y Guindilla.

Las Negras is a small and unspoiled village. Everyone was welcoming and friendly and although it was predominantly Spanish speaking, communication was relatively easy. There is plenty to do around the immediate area of Las Negras with unspoilt beaches and water based activities but we also enjoyed trips to Almeria, Carboneras and Mojacar, all of which are worth seeing. We had a really lovely time.
