"Most interesting city, with historic sites, lovely parks, great collection of museums all close to each other. Brilliant for shopping National Space Centre Leicester Tigers Rugby stadium, Leicester City football stadium, University of Leicester and De Montfort University for those life changing courses. Lovely mix of cultures that are happy to share their religious festivals with other faiths Three really good hospitals for the not so good times. Really good bus services if you choose to avoid the car Train services to most other areas of the country via main lines."

"Didn't have time to visit Castle Donington itself. We did visit Ashby-de-la-Zouch which is lovely. Melbourne village is also pleasant. The hotel is also perfect for an overnight stay when flying from East Midlands Airport."

"I was not overly excited about visiting Loughborough but had business there and decided to stay for a few days to save money, rather than head to London early for my next appointment. So glad I did! I loved visiting the old church. I went to The Three Nuns pub the first day I was there, and found myself going back every day! Stopped in at Lowe & Sons had a great conversation with the owner about history in general and his location and family business specifically; bought an antique book for a great price there. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Very much enjoyed my time and hope to go back!"

Outstanding Manor House hotel with exquisite classic furniture and decor. One of a kind. The common rooms and halls were amazing. The grounds were beautiful and spacious. Sadly we missed seeing a West End musical in their excellent ampitheatre. The previous booking we saw a musical as good as one in the London West End.

The room was absolutely spectacular, well stocked with teas and coffees and toiletries, the bathroom was so impressively nice, so much larger than I anticipated! The staff was absolutely the kindest, most helpful and attentive hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. The location was lovely and the restaurant delicious. I have absolutely no complaints :)

We had a room on the road side of the hotel but it was so well soundproofed that we didn't hear any traffic noise and the bed was so comfortable that we both woke 90 minutes later than we normally do! Nice, fresh selection for the continental breakfast. Convenience of restaurant on site for dinner the previous evening.

It was exceptionally well maintained and certainly has world class cuisine. I am a frequent traveler and travelled almost in all major destinations and stayed at well known hotels. I have never tasted such delicious breakfast served in Burleigh court hotel.

This was the first time I have stayed in the centre of...

This was the first time I have stayed in the centre of Leicester and I was pleasantly surprised. I especially liked the Lanes with lovely small shops and Italian restaurants. I loved visiting the RichardIII Visitors Centre and seeing his tomb in the beautiful Leicester Cathedral. We also visited a gorgeous medieval building, I think it was the merchants hall? Amazing!

We didn't visit Castle Donnington itself but we did call in at Breedon on the Hill and Ashby de la Zouche. By the way, The Donnington Grand Prix collection does not exist any longer. The collection was sold in 2018, and loaned cars returned to their owners. Those premises are now used for motor cycles.

Loughborough is a very attractive town, well laid out, with lovely architecture and a feeling of positivity and happiness brought by the presence of thousands of happy, motivated students who throng its streets, bars, cafes and restaurants both day and night. As a snapshot of our future innovators and movers in society Loughborough can be proud of its student population, knowing that they will make a difference in UK society in all manner of ways.

We stayed right in the middle of MH and it was great.

We stayed right in the middle of MH and it was great. We were there to attend a weekend event at the Showgrounds just north of the town and the buses made that really easy so didn't have to move the car once we'd arrived. MH has a lot to offer - the town has some great chain shops (White Stuff, Phase Eight, Lakeland etc.) but also some quirky local places with lots of interesting food options (Two Old Goats, Louisa's & Rio Bravo). If we'd had time we would have also tried Rock Salt and Ascough's Bistro which look amazing but I think you will need to book for both. We will need to go back at some point as it's a good general location for accessing the Midlands and is on a main bus route between Northampton and Leicester.

A Conference Hotel so be prepared to pay Conference high bar prices. Generally yet another enjoyable experience. A few minor isses with the bedroom. Housekeeping staff friendly and the room was generally well presented with a comfortable bed however a dirty underside of the toilet seat should not be allowed to happen. Iron not working properly Does anyone check? Excellent check-in experience - Very professional. Good car parking facilties. Hotel is in a very accessible location for driving..

Stunning location, easy to find.

Stunning location, easy to find. Wonderful staff and breakfast. Very much looking forward to going back to do a Theatre Package in the summer. Would highly recommend. Hope the ethos of this establishment never changes.

Lovely little village just outside Leicester.

Lovely little village just outside Leicester. To be honest you wouldn't even know you were near Leicester as the village is beautiful. Three pubs and a church in the town. Along with small shops and cafe. A really peacefull place to stay.

Plenty of National Trust and other "Brown Sign" properties...

Plenty of National Trust and other "Brown Sign" properties and attractions close to the location. Only ate at the Appleby Inn, and the cafe at Moira Furnace as it was January, so many attractions were not open till the weekend, but all that information was available online when we planned our trip. Have always used Appleby Inn or the Old Posthouse, but would consider using a pet friendly location, if we can find one.

Melton Mowbray is a pretty market town with a lot going for it in terms of shopping and markets, good rail links, a beautiful parish church, a lovely park by the river, and much in the way of community activities and clubs. The people a friendly. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the village of Scalford, where we stayed is beautiful too. The pub was a lovely place to stay and we felt well looked after, special even, in a beautifully presented pub building. There are lovely towns, historical buildings and parklands and pretty towns and places of interest in the surrounding areas. Lots of history here.

Everything was lovely and comfortable. The only downside was having a neighbour with their television on for 12 hours - loudly. Maybe a kind notice reminding guests that the television is on an adjoining wall would help?
