"Durres was a pleasant city to visit. Although apart from the beach and food places there was not much to do so I spent some time driving outside the city to see places nearby. If you are ever there, take a taxi to the Golem part of Durres where the Brilliant hotel is located. It has less people although a small part of the beach is rocky. For good fish and seafood, I'd recommend a restaurant called Rifat Peshkatari. For traditional Albanian cuisine take a taxi outside Durres to farm called Agrotourism Huqi. It's worth the trip :). If you have a sweet tooth try the Trilece at Pelikan sweet shot near hotel Germany :)."

"It is a small town at the sea coast of Montenegro with lots of touristic facilities. You can get around Budva easily, see the castle and beaches, and have a gastronomic tour in the town. It is my second time in the town and I highly recommend to visit. You should try Jadran restaurant and eat grilled octopus absolutely. You can come to Budva by drive or bus or private taxi from near cities in Montenegro or Crotia."

"Porec is charming and just the right size to feel comfortable. It has a lovely old town and beautiful waterway. Sunsets were beautiful there. There were lots of places to eat and to just meander. Grocery stores were convenient. We loved visiting Rovinj but were glad we stayed in a smaller place."

"We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed spreading out the sights and not feeling rushed. We took the tram up to the fort and then hiked down. I don't recommend hiking down - we are experienced hikers and the trail was rocky and rough - not well-maintained. We enjoyed walking the city walls during the golden hour before sunset and also explored Ft Lawrence. We visited several churches, the rector's palace, and the Buza Bar for sunset. Lots of great pubs, cafes, and food! It was fun to wander around in the narrow paths and discover shops or cafes. Sunsets were beautiful - highly recommend."

"Old town Pula is a wonderful place to visit. The people are friendly and most speak English. Most things to do like restaurants, museums, historical sites, the harbor, and shops are an easy walk of a few blocks. The food was so good. I really miss the croissants and pastries available for breakfast daily. The fresh seafood and salads, risotto, and pizzas were delicious. If arriving by airplane, I recommend you ask your hotel to set up a pick up in advance. The going taxi rate is a ridiculous €60 for 7 kilometers from airport to old town. Travelers we met said their hotel set up the return to the airport for less than half that. We fell in love with charming Pula. You should definitely go"

There is a place to walk whole afternoon and spend time on beach. You have everything that you need for vacation: sports, bars, food is amazing, sand beaches, parking spots, also boat trips etc. And yet, its not stack packed with people, so you can enjoy your time with kids there."

Amazing!

Amazing! Very hot afternoons at the end of July (obviously) - perfect for water activities :-) Favorite beaches: Sveti Jakov + Lapad Beach. Highly recommend visiting Lokrum, what a beautiful reserve! Short 10min ferry ride; 30 EUR admission fee, but worth every penny! The peacocks were absolutely adorable. I also loved Kolocep for hiking/sightseeing - very beautiful and quiet! My favorite spot for snorkeling: Lapad Beach (calm water + lots to see near the shore; I'm a total beginner + not comfortable with deep waters).

My friend and I are both avid beach goers, and harbour swimmers. The resort is in a great safe location with activities for people of all ages and abilities. If you don't enjoy the beach and taking a daily plunge before relaxing in the sun perhaps this is not for you. Once you have settled in to your apartment there are only a few decisions that you have to make each day. You can self cater (from the nearby supermarket ) or eat at the outdoor restaurant open from morning to night at a time which suits you. If you are booked in at this gated resort, reserved parking is available, Otherwise casual daily parking outside the area can be problematic. If you want to drive around the resort area during the day to go to supermarket etc a gps is good to have as the roads are narrow and not always signposted . Driving into Pula itself takes around 25minutes and gps essential. Google Pula Parking before you leave the resort. Pula township is well worth a visit.

Budva’s Old Town is beautiful, and it’s a pleasure to walk around its charming streets. The beaches are clean and very enjoyable. Compared to Kotor, the two towns have a similar atmosphere. However, if I were planning the trip again, I might choose to stay in Kotor, as close to the Old Town as possible—or even inside it—for a more unique and memorable experience.

Nice beaches, great beach promenade with lots of restaurants - nice atmosphere. The best restaurants, however, the best ones where in the main street close to the promenade. Would recommend Vila Mare, Fish House, Otantik and Westwood in Durres city. Went on two guided tours which we recommend as well. The first was to Holta Canyon and the second to Kruja Castle.

Although Trogir is one of the gems of the Adriatic with its historical buildings, charming streets, and the hospitality of the locals (at least the service providers), the traffic is disastrous. Vehicles (cars, motorbikes, scooters) and sometimes even pedestrians navigate the roads in a life-threatening manner. Speed limits are treated merely as suggestions, priority at intersections belongs to whoever is faster or more alert, and they use the horn instead of everything (including turn signals). If you have the chance, use public transport to get there. The coastline and the town offer a picturesque view, but the water at the otherwise neat and well-maintained beaches is dirty, and there are jellyfish (I got stung 4 times in 6 days). North of the 45th parallel, the quality of the seawater is much better.

Rovinj completely stole our hearts.

Rovinj completely stole our hearts. We spent four wonderful days here, and every day felt special. The town itself is incredibly charming, with its narrow stone streets, colorful houses, and breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea. We especially loved that Rovinj is the perfect base for exploring Istria by car. Every day we visited another beautiful nearby town, then returned to swim in the crystal-clear turquoise waters of the local beaches, and in the evening wandered through the picturesque streets of this wonderful little town. The atmosphere is peaceful, welcoming, and relaxing. Rovinj is one of those places you never want to leave. We will definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Croatia.

It's a beautiful old town with loads of history . Definitely worth staying there so you can enjoy a peaceful start to the day by getting out early in the morning to explore and take photos. The negative is that it gets overrun by tourists particularly if a cruise ship is in port, so becomes hectic.Lots of great places to explore and feel the history all around you.Excellent restaurants and a lot of choice.
