Request NOT (R) NOT to book in Hotel Vistara, Semmancheri, Chennai 600131, shown in booking.com. The location shown on Booking.com was totally different from the location we were accommodated. After reaching in the late evening, almost Night, they charged for Aircondition, for beds (While booking we booked for an AC Room with two double bed). TV was not there in the room we stayed. Due to untime and as we were exhausted in hot climate we had no option to stay in an unpleasent, unclean & in isolated location. No facility was available in and around the place. It's a scam they conduct through BOOKING.COM for those who book in Hotel Vistara, Semmancheri,Chennai 600131, KINDLY BE AWARE.

Ooty is a beautiful destination with something for everyone. Doddabetta Peak offers stunning views, the award-winning Rose Garden is a must-visit, and the tea gardens are perfect for memorable photos. The tea and chocolate factories are worth exploring, while the teak and Nilgiri forests add to the charm. Great food from around the world, clean surroundings, and fresh mountain air make Ooty a truly refreshing getaway.

We had a nice family trip to Madurai.

We had a nice family trip to Madurai. The Meenakshi Amman Temple was our favorite place, even though some repair works were happening during our visit. The nearby traditional market was closed, so we couldn’t explore it. Food was easy and tasty. We ate at local shops and a few times at Adyar Ananda Bhavan (A2B). The special Jigarthanda is a must‑try. Getting around was simple with autos and Ola cabs. The local people were very friendly and helpful, which made the trip even smoother. For family activities, we kept it relaxed — shopping, especially for steel utensils, was fun and good value. We also did a full‑day trip to Rameswaram, which was a great experience. Overall, Madurai is a friendly, cultural city that’s easy to explore and great for families.

Mahabs is a great retreat for tired minds :D. There are some must visits like the shore temple, the mahishasura mardini temple, varaha temple. We could not visit the light house but even from far it was a very pretty sight.

Going there after 20 years was very pleasantly surprised at how well the city is administered. The infrastructure and the cleanliness are far ahead of my Bengaluru city. Excellent highways with beautiful Reserve Forests on the road are awesome

Kodaikanal is a very nice hill station.

Kodaikanal is a very nice hill station. Perfect to escape the heat and spend some time in nature. It is a bit challenging to find a nice hike “off the beaten track”, and you may want to consult with local guides for advice.

One of the most auspicious places in India.

One of the most auspicious places in India. It was our dream destination and we were blessed to have been able to visit this mesmerizing place. Actually experiencing the holy places we had so far just heard about was just awesome. Agnee Teertham, 22 Wells of Holy water from 22 divine plces, the Rameshwaram Temple all leave one speechless and thoughtless. Just close your eyes and think of the entire epic episode of Ramayana and just let yourself drown in the majestic spiritual world.

Here’s a polished hotel review you can post: I stayed at this hotel previously and was given a room on the 2nd floor, which was clean, neat, and comfortable. However, during my recent stay, I was assigned a room on the 1st floor and had a disappointing experience. The room was very dusty, there were lizards everywhere, and there was a noticeable gas leak smell when using the gas stove, which raised safety concerns. I hope the management addresses these issues and improves the maintenance and cleanliness standards of the 1st-floor rooms.

You should definitely visit the Brihadeeswara temple.

You should definitely visit the Brihadeeswara temple. The ideal time to go is in the morning around 9 am. Two reasons.. Less crowd. Next one, the sun is at the correct angle to take some great pics. Should try the Tanjore meals while you are there
